Inspiring Conversations with Christi Powell of Women Confidence Builders

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christi Powell

Hi Christi , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Working in a male dominated field I saw for many years the lack of resources for women in various industries. One of the ways I wanted to change that and help fellow women in business, or who are in male dominated fields, connect, inspire and be apart of a community where they are celebrated. So I started Women Confidence Builders! But I didn’t want to this to just be an environment for already established business owners, I wanted students and women of all ages to be included. That’s why we try to give students scholarships to help fund their dreams at all of our events!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Defiantly not! Running a non-profit has its own set of challenges because it’s not like a typical business. Things like finding sponsors, managing events, and finding people who believe in this mission that are willing to help and get more people connected to this community, have definitely been a challenge, but a rewarding one at that. I am also so blessed to have an amazing community of people who have helped me along the way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Women Confidence Builders?
We are a non-profit organization that equips, mentors, and disciples women and students to better further their careers, knowledge, education and connections within our community. We have people plugged in from all around the U.S that want to help support the next generation of amazing women. The thing that we are so proud of is all of the connections that every member and attendee of our events have been able to make that generates lasting friendships, partnerships and business. We are also so happy to have given 13 scholarships to students just this year alone. Our membership is for any woman or student who want to build more connections in their community and be apart of a bigger mission.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
You can either sponsor our organization and the events that we put together for our community and members, sponsor a local student to help fund their dreams or you can become a member and be apart of our community and get access to monthly events, calls and resources.
