Inspiring Conversations with Cheyenne Willis Kozaily of Cheyenne Leadership Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheyenne Willis Kozaily.

Cheyenne, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“Dying is easy young man, Living is harder.” Lin Manuel Miranda, Right Hand Man (Hamilton).

I have a tragedy story. The details are not important. What is important is that I forgave. I learned what is important. I learned where to focus my energy. I learned what I’ll never repeat. What we gain from the lesson & what we are able to offer others is what is truly worth noting.

That’s why once I was on the other side, it was apparent that my experience was not unique. If you are anything like me, you root for the underdog: those who have added gates to the success that seems to come so easily to others. I am the creative, introverted type. I never imagined I’d be able to translate my creativity into being a successful CEO, let alone put myself out there on YouTube.

In real estate as in life, the best determination of value is based on “highest & best use.” I began to ask myself, “What is the highest & best use of the knowledge I have gained?” The answer was clear: I could keep it to myself & build an empire or I could share my knowledge & make an impact for all. Being a veteran educator & business owner, coupled with what I overcame put me in a very unique position to cause exponential growth for my entire community. Overcoming my own gates to success made me passionate about clearing the way for others. We have a saying in coaching: “Lead so that one day someone will say, ‘because of you, I didn’t give up.'” Because someone did it for me, I am dedicated to pay it forward. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge to empower & undergird business & leadership growth for women, minorities, creatives, & young people through private business coaching.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Often the hardest question to answer is, “What do I really want?” It’s the only pursuit that’s worth the pain. You will know it is right for you if the struggle doesn’t stop you. I don’t coach with empty cheerleading. One of the first things I tell my clients is, “You have big goals. Big goals mean big commitment. This will not be easy.” You will face all kinds of challenges when you dream big. The reward you seek is located on the other side of the challenge.

We’ve been impressed with Cheyenne Leadership Coaching, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My Superpower is to empower yours. I lead women, minorities, creatives and young people to live a life of freedom through entrepreneurship. I am a visual Artist, veteran Educator, top producing Realtor, & award-winning Entrepreneur. I don’t offer a master class or paid downloads. I am not selling a formula. While this is right for many people, I work best by focusing on bespoke guidance for the CEO or the CEO/COO team. I guide executives, visionaries, CEO’s & COO’s to ID their Superpower, develop & commit to their vision, become atomically efficient, delegate for the highest & best use of their time & resources, build lasting teams, attract & retain top talent, exponentially multiply profits, & manage conflict with ease. As an Enneagram 4 & recognized business leader, I guide the creative brain to translate your vision into a business that will provide generational wealth. I also work with young creatives & leaders to identify their gifts, putting those gifts to their highest & best use, developing their leadership skills, honing their talent into an effective business, & building a brand/business that will last for generations.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk is not everyone’s path. It is important to be honest with yourself about what risks you are willing to take. If risk-taking is not for you, then it’s important to be true to that. Even for natural risk takers, not every risk is worth taking. As a leader, managing risk is part of the job description. The most successful leaders know which risks are worth taking, and they know the cost of risks never taken. It is important to highlight that, because we rarely consider how expensive inaction can be. Which risks are worth failure? That is a question only you can answer. I am here to guide that process & craft a gameplan to manage your risks.
