Inspiring Conversations with Carrie Nicholas of Joint Ventures Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carrie Nicholas.

Hi Carrie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After 10 years of working at different chiropractic offices, doing vacation coverage for other doctors and moving four times. I started my chiropractic business in Camden, SC in 2018 and began working only 3 mornings a week; when my youngest child started pre-school. Slowly but surely the practice has grown immensely over the past 7 years thanks to the support of the community as well as my friends and family. I’m so grateful for all the people that I’ve seen over the years and the connections that I’ve made along the way!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Between switching offices, hiring staff, and juggling the balance between family and work, the journey has not been easy. But I am thankful for the path I’ve been on and everything it has taught me. Each challenge has pushed me to grow stronger, more patient, and more determined. I am incredibly proud to be a mom, a chiropractor, and a small business owner—and even more proud of the example I’m setting for my children by following my passion and serving my community.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Joint Ventures Chiropractic was created to provide accessible, holistic and non-invasive care in the South Carolina Midlands community. I have witnessed how chronic pain and limited mobility can significantly reduce the quality of life. My goal is to create interpersonal relationships with my patients, so as to provide the highest level of care. JVC sees patients from all walks of life; newborns, teens, pregnant and post-partum moms, elderly, athletes, impaired, etc. JVC provides manual adjustments and therapeutic modalities including taping, cupping, scraping, Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation therapy, and dry-needling.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was when my twin brothers, Mark and Joel, were born. I was 8 years old and so excited to finally have a little sister! Then we realized they were both boys, and I was so mad. As the second oldest girl, I had hoped for a little sister to share that bond with—but now, I wouldn’t trade my brothers for anything. I’m eternally grateful for both of them, and I’m thankful for all of my siblings.
