Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Cato.
Hi Bryan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely! I grew up obsessed with bodybuilding, and excelling in all subjects in school related to health and science. But I had no guidance or peers who shared that interest and made almost no progress. That followed me into the military. I struggled with fitness, struggled to rank up, and constantly felt behind.
My first real turning point came during my first deployment, which ended with a failed marriage that hit me extremely hard, and in some regards, still carry scars from that. I switched into survival mode and medicated with alcohol, pushed down the scars I brought home, and channeled everything into my military career. On paper, it worked. I grew, I remarried, I had kids… but I was distant at home and carrying demons no one could see.
The gym became my escape. I got obsessed; learned proper training, hired a coach, got certified, and started helping others. Seeing their transformation lit a fire in me I didn’t even know was there.
But launching the business while still hiding in my work only strained my family more. That’s when it clicked: I’d flipped the switch once for survival… and again for success… but never for alignment.
I finally got help for my inner battles, and chose a new mission.
Today, I run No Limits Holistic Fitness to help driven parents, veterans, and high achievers lead themselves first – so they can build stronger families and stronger communities, leading them from the front instead of the sidelines, therefore leaving a legacy they can be proud of. And I’ve built the business itself to empower my own family, not compete with them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life is completely smooth. Thats the truth. Progress and success in anything is very rarely linear. There are highs and lows. I’n my personal fitness journey the struggles appeared in the form of injury, navigating family responsibilities, and the demands of being in the National Guard and a full time DOD Federal Employee. In business, though I had made massive progress in my own journey, and had coached others as a hobby, I had no clue initially when it came to business. The first year was rough but I learned alot. This last year has been exciting but a struggle, with a few poor performing or failed launches but around 6x growth from last year and a much more refined program. I am genuinely excited about the future for those who I have the privilege of helping and for my family.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
No Limits Holistic Fitness is a coaching company built for driven parents, veterans, and high-achieving professionals who feel like they’ve lost their edge – physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually – and want a system that helps them get it back without burning out or starting over every few months.
We specialize in total life transformation, not just fitness plans. What we’re known for is our four-pillar approach: Mindset, Physical Training, Emotional Resilience, and Spiritual Alignment. Most programs focus on workouts and macros; we focus on the entire person and help them create a lifestyle they can sustain, not a temporary sprint.
Every client receives a customized training plan built around their real schedule, responsibilities, and limitations, a practical nutrition framework that works with family life, and weekly coaching support that keeps them accountable, consistent, and aligned. This framework is built on the science of behavior change and identity level alignment.
What truly sets us apart is this: we don’t help people get fit so they can look good on vacation – we help them rebuild the leadership, confidence, and discipline that carries into their home, their marriage, their parenting, and their career. This is the only program built with military precision, backed by the science of behavior change and built on a holistic 4 pillar framework.
My proudest achievement brand-wise is the community we’re building – a community of men and women who choose to lead themselves first so they can lead stronger families and healthier communities.
If readers take away one thing, I want them to know that No Limits isn’t just a coaching program. It’s a system designed to rebuild energy, identity, and personal leadership from the inside out. We help people become the strongest, most capable version of themselves, not just in the gym, but in every area of their life.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Such a great question…. I don’t remember who originally said it. But, a person who is healthy has 1000 wishes while someone who is not only has one.
1. The first greatest investment is in your own health. Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. I have never regretted a single dime I have spent to that end.
2. And I think this ties into the first… Stay true to your dreams and interests, even if that means you do it alone for a time. I lost alot of time by doing what everyone else wanted to do because I wanted to fit in.
3. Understand that life, fitness and health are all infinite games. You play and perform better the earlier you start, but the goal is to play it for as long as possible.
4. Don’t measure your progress on anyone or anything other than where you were yesterday and whether or not you are closer to who you want to become. My favorite example of this comes from Matthew McConaughey: My hero is me 5 years in the future.
