Today we’d like to introduce you to Bain Stewart
Hi Bain, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Since I was a kid I’ve known what I want to do with my life. I’ve been fortunate. I don’t know if there is one person or thing to thank for that. Was it skateboarding? Having cool and supportive parents? My Aunt Dale for buying my first camera? It was probably a mix of all of that.
Cameras, storytelling, and freezing moments in time have always been important to me.
Attending the Fine Arts Center’s Digital Filmmaking class in high school taught by Eric Rogers, the Media Arts & Studio Arts programs at the University of South Carolina, and work experiences were the stepping stones later in life that led me to starting my own company.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t know that any road worth traveling is smooth. One quote that rings in my head is “You can have growth and you can have comfort, but you cannot have both.” I think there’s a real power to just doing the hard thing. One way or another the hard things are going to find you, so it’s best to just let it be your decision.
I always had ambitions of my company being my career, but there were a lot of years of burning the candle at both ends. Being a full time college student, working 30+ hours a week on a fitness-brand video team, or photographing concerts in exchange for a photo pass and credit on social media.
Some weeks were more grueling than others, but trusting the process and staying the course makes the grind worth it.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a professional Photography and Video Production Company based in Greenville, South Carolina. We specialize in capturing live music & events and corporate photography & videography.
That being said, we operate with the “have camera, will travel” mentality and can provide photo & video services for any of your production needs.
Transparency and consistency are two of many attributes we pride ourselves on. Finding a solution and creating a product as close to your vision as possible is important.
We’re proud, but even more so grateful to work closely with our partners to help tell their stories. Our variety of partners range from music festivals, corporations, marketing agencies, and non-profit organizations to name a few.
We know that no one project is the same just like no one company is the same as another. We are grateful for the opportunity to create and help tell your story.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Just reach out! If your company or organization has a need, ask for help. South Carolina has an amazing network of creators in constant collaboration. I think the biggest way our community can continue to support one another is by simply reaching out. Collaboration comes in many shapes and sizes and there is always a way to connect the dots.
