Inspiring Conversations with Ashlyn Crowell of Abundantly More Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashlyn Crowell.

Hi Ashlyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From a young age, I always had an entrepreneurial spirit, creating little businesses in my neighborhood or at school and loved the idea of creating something special and being my own boss. Even going into college, I had it in the back of my mind that I would start my own company one day, just the journey of how to get there was unclear. After graduating from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I started working as a Social Media Specialist at a local marketing agency and was drawn to all the possibilities social media had for brands to come to life in a whole new way, allowing audiences to connect with them on a deeper level that wasn’t possible before. It gives brands a way to truly let their personality shine through. During my time at the agency, I managed 15+ clients in a wide range of industries, gaining exposure on how to best utilize social media in whatever part of the business world you were in, but I quickly found that I loved the content creating part the most. Being able to shoot and edit engaging content, pairing it with a well-thought out strategy truly fueled my fire in a way new. From there, I went on to work for a tech company in the vacation rental industry as their social media and content manager, further confirming my passions for content creation. And suddenly at the beginning of 2025, everything fell into place for me to finally start my own company. It became so clear that content creation is what I wanted to do, giving brands a voice in the social space, telling their stories in unique and captivating ways. And I have also loved the wedding industry. Ever since watching The Wedding Planner with Jennifer Lopez, I knew I wanted to be part of it and with my new business venture, I found the perfect way to enter the industry using my expertise to do wedding content creation. After my first wedding, I woke up exhausted and so fulfilled, it was the best feeling and I knew I was fulfilling my calling. It has been the greatest joy connecting with so many brands, couples, and wedding vendors to bring their stories to life, not just creating engaging content, but content backed by a solid strategy from my years of social media expertise. And now i’m right where i’m meant to be.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With any business startup, there’s bound to be some turbulence. While putting together a business plan came together well, seeing it come into fruition can be quite difficult. It’s been incredible to see little things come together each day, like little gifts from the Lord that remind me i’m on the right path. You’ll quickly learn that while you may get a ton of inquiries, only a few actually develop into clients so it has been very stretching and growing for me, reminding myself that one unfulfilled inquiry leaves room for the right one. Since content creation is still relatively new, it’s a challenge showcasing its worth to companies that may not understand it, but that only creates more opportunity for me to really display how valuable it is. With a new business, it’s all about putting yourself out there too, and not taking rejection too personally. For me, that’s looked like participating in a vendor event and no one showing up or reaching out to brands and not hearing back. But it only produces thicker skin to build confidence in what I am doing!
