Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Figueroa.
Nicole, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My path into this work began through my own healing journey. For many years, I lived with the effects of PTSD, chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. My nervous system was constantly in survival mode, and I knew I needed something deeper than just coping I needed a way to truly regulate, reconnect, and feel safe in my own body again.
That search led me to breathwork. What started as a personal practice for healing became a powerful turning point in my life. Through intentional breathing, I experienced real shifts physically, mentally, and emotionally. I began to understand how deeply the breath influences the nervous system, emotional processing, and overall well-being.
As my healing deepened, so did my calling to share this work with others. Today, I guide breathwork and nervous system regulation practices to help people reconnect with themselves, release stored stress and trauma, and rediscover their own capacity for healing just as I did.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Healing is rarely linear, and my journey has been filled with challenges, setbacks, and deep periods of self-confrontation. One of the biggest struggles was learning how to live in a body and nervous system that had been conditioned for survival for so long. Even after discovering breathwork, there were moments when progress felt slow, uncomfortable, or even overwhelming. Releasing stored stress and trauma can bring emotions to the surface that you don’t always feel ready to face.
There were also practical challenges learning new skills, stepping into a completely different path, and trusting myself enough to share my work with others. Shifting from personal healing into guiding others required courage, continued education, and a willingness to keep doing my own inner work again and again.
But those struggles became some of my greatest teachers. They deepened my compassion, strengthened my understanding of the nervous system, and helped me truly relate to the people I support today. The road hasn’t been easy but it has been meaningful, transformative, and deeply worth it.

I am the founder of Feel the Heal 77 and co-founder of The Breath & Mind Alliance™, an integrative wellness organization devoted to helping people restore balance, resilience, and wellbeing through nervous system centered care.
Our work focuses on the connection between breath, physiology, and emotional health. We specialize in trauma-informed breathwork, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and mind–body integration. Through individual sessions, group experiences, community programs, and organizational wellness offerings, we help people understand how stress and life experiences affect the body and how to safely and effectively regulate, recover, and function at their best.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality most important to my success is integrity. I am deeply committed to serving people with honesty, responsibility, and genuine care. In work centered on human wellbeing, trust is everything and I take that trust seriously.
I also believe in consistency. Real transformation happens through steady, intentional effort, and I bring that same dedication to my clients, my community, and the standards I hold for my work.
This combination of integrity, consistency, and sincere care for others is what allows me to build meaningful relationships and create work that truly supports lasting change.
