Today we’d like to introduce you to Neal Greenberg
Hi Neal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My background is as a Silicon Valley tech entrepreneur. I co-founded Schmartboard, Inc., a company based in Fremont, California, which continues to operate successfully. To this day, I manage sales and marketing remotely. About three and a half years ago, I relocated to Summerville. As I approached 60, I decided it was time to prioritize my health and fitness to ensure I stick around for awhile. Through dedication, I lost 65 pounds and gained muscle. A significant part of my success came from working with Energized Health, a company (not local) specializing in fat loss, muscle building, and cellular hydration. Inspired by my transformation, I began coaching others through Energized Health and have been doing so for the past two years. It is a great way to give back.
During this journey, I discovered a fitness device concept that I found incredibly effective but saw room for improvement. Motivated by my entrepreneurial spirit, I launched Phit.Club LLC in December 2024 to create a more versatile solution that helps people of all ages and fitness levels achieve their health goals. I developed the PhitStick, a tool designed to help users build muscle and burn fat. Additionally, I created an FDA-approved line of nutritional supplements, including PhitJuice for pre- and post-workout support, and a range of delicious protein powders called PhitFood.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m still just getting started, but wow, marketing has changed a lot since my earlier days. There’s so much noise out there now, and earning people’s trust is harder than ever. Because of that, I’m happy to sell products one at a time to individuals, but my main focus these days is on working with organizations so I can sell in larger quantities. Along the way, I’ve had to deal with some dishonest partnerships and broken promises, but you just keep pushing forward, learning as you go.
My goal is to sell branded PhitSticks to companies, senior facilities, gyms, teams, and more. At the same time, I set up booths at local shows once or twice a month to spread the word and give people a chance to try them out in person. I also enjoy the personal interaction with people of all backgrounds to gain new insights.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Honestly, it’s been an uphill battle. It’s felt like the stars were aligned against me at times, with technical issues, agreement disputes, and other setbacks constantly popping up.
Thankfully, this isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to running a business. For example, back when Radio Shack went out of business, my California company, Schmartboard, lost over 5,000 retail locations overnight. That experience was a crash course in dealing with challenges, so the bumps I’ve faced getting Phit.Club off the ground feel like minor inconveniences in comparison.
