Max Emory is a Bookkeeping Firm Owner, Bookkeeping Educator, USMC Veteran, and Real Estate Investor. His mission is to deliver decision-ready financials to Real Estate Investors so they can move fast, stay focused, and grow profits.
Max’s real estate journey started in an unlikely place—on a Navy ship in the South China Sea, where he read Rich Dad Poor Dad while deployed as a U.S. Marine Corps Artillery Officer. That book changed everything.
Within three years, Max built a 25-unit rental portfolio, including long-term, short-term, and medium-term properties.
Along the way, he realized something: Most real estate investors didn’t know their numbers, struggled with cash flow, and were drowning in time-consuming tasks.
That’s why he created Time Capital Bookkeeping to solve these exact problems.
Today, Max leads a U.S.-based, real estate-savvy bookkeeping team that helps house flippers, wholesalers, and landlords save hundreds of hours and make more profitable, faster decisions.
But that’s not all. Max also:
– Educates bookkeepers on how to start and scale their REI bookkeeping businesses through Time Capital University.
– Continues to invest in real estate and support the investing community through private lending.
– Is preparing to acquire small businesses and help them grow using the same systems that built his 7-figure empire.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not, and I wouldn’t want it to be. The challenges have been the very experiences that shaped how we serve our clients today. When I first started Time Capital Bookkeeping, my own books were a mess. I know firsthand the stress and uncertainty that comes from not having clarity in your finances. As a Marine, a business owner, and a real estate investor, I’ve faced many setbacks, long nights, and very tough lessons. But every obstacle is just a lesson learned.
Because of those struggles, I’m able to empathize with our clients while also equipping them with the systems and strategies I wish I’d had from the beginning. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been worth every bump, and it’s given me the ability to help others navigate their own journeys with confidence, clarity, and better decisions.
We’ve been impressed with Time Capital Bookkeeping, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder of Time Capital Bookkeeping and Time Capital University.
At Time Capital Bookkeeping, we specialize in helping Real Estate Investors gain clarity on their numbers, make better decisions, and ultimately grow their businesses with confidence.
Time Capital University is our educational arm, where we train and support other bookkeepers who want to serve the Real Estate Investing industry.
