Today we’d like to introduce you to Marie-Laure Kosian.
Hi Marie-Laure, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Working in luxury hotels across Europe, in cities like Monte Carlo, London, and Paris, my appreciation for sophisticated interiors was ignited. Upon moving to New York City, I enrolled at Parsons School of Design where I earned my degree. After completing my studies, I founded ML Design and today operate from Charleston, South Carolina. To date, I’ve reimagined residential and corporate interiors throughout the Lowcountry, as well as Costa Rica, New York, and France.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Technology has advanced so much since I began my career, there have been several learning curves. It’s important to stay knowledgeable and current to be the best resource for your clients.

I’m a one woman show. I handle every detail of client projects from beginning to end. I offer full service design services, but my scope per project depends on my clients needs. My portfolio includes new construction homes as well as several large and small scale renovations. Additionally, I offer Art consulting, accessory sourcing and styling, and custom furniture design – in case clients just need that finishing touch.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Building strong and long lasting partnerships with my craftsmen and vendors. They are the backbone of my business, without these resources behind me, I wouldn’t be as successful in my execution.
