Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Riley
Hi Lee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Lee’s Father actually began pressure washing as a part time job when he retired and then started back teaching, so he began referring jobs to Lee in his last year in college. Lee continued taking jobs over the next couple of years as a part time job before getting swamped with jobs. Lee then invited his brother Will and good friend Caleb to join in as business partners. Caleb and Will contributed significantly to the growth of the business over the next few years. Together we were able to buy better equipment and gain more knowledge to clean better and more efficiently. We now have many reoccurring clients and continue to gain new clients on a regular basis.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There was certainly a learning curve when it comes to cleaning. We started using backpack sprayers and small pressure washers to clean. Loading and unloading everything made jobs take much longer. We also got ideas from social media to make cleaning easier. We upgraded to a trailer with a soft wash system and a bigger hot water pressure washer and mounted everything on our trailer. Upgrades significantly helped out our cleaning service and the amount of time it takes to finish jobs efficiently.
We’ve been impressed with R&B Pressure Washing, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are owned and operated by current police officers. Ironically all three of us are Canine Handlers with our departments. Lee handles K9 Hydro who is a Belgian Malinois. Caleb handles K9 Papi who is a German Shepard. Will handles K9 Buddy who is a Lab. Caleb served honorably with the Marines before becoming a police officer and business owner. Will graduated from The Citadel with a degree in criminal justice before becoming a police officer and business owner. Lee also graduated from The Citadel with a degree in criminal justice before becoming a police officer and business owner. We specialize in residential and commercial pressure washing/ soft washing services. We are known for our attention to detail when cleaning along with our customer service. What sets us apart from others is we are the owners and operators. We do all of our own work and take pride in doing it to ensure our customers are satisfied. We are most proud of our brands recognition from our marketing strategy which is mostly through word of mouth. We rarely advertise mostly because we don’t need to do much of it. Our customers are so happy with our work they tell their friends and neighbors securing us plenty of happy customers. If there is one thing you should know about us is that we are constantly educating ourselves and trying out new chemicals to provide the best service we can.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes us happy is seeing our finished product. Compared to our other jobs of working in law enforcement it is nice to put our headphones in and really see a house transform from moldy and grimy to clean and shiny.
