Hidden Gems: Meet Larsyn Cross of RevFit Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Larsyn Cross.

Hi Larsyn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After receiving my Master’s Degree in Health, Exercise and Sport Science, I knew fitness was a path I was created to pursue. At first it was a parttime gig that quickly transitioned to full time in 2018 when we moved to Colorado and I opened a bootcamp franchise in our new town. Owning a business allowed my passion for helping others through fitness flourish! At the end of 2020 we welcomed my first child into the world. In the postpartum recovery phase, my eyes were open to so many things I just didn’t understand prior. My body was no longer the same… I suffered from major Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. It wasn’t until we moved back to Charleston in 2022 and I sought the help of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy that I realized how limited in resources and true support our fitness industry actually is. With the encouragement of my PT, I sought out specialized training and certifications and in the spring of 2024 co-developed a Pelvic Floor and Core Strength Training series with the support of my pelvic floor PT team. We launched this program at the Birth Center that spring and it took off from there.

In the summer of 2024, I pulled the program to Park Circle so I could be closer to home and closer to my babies (my second child was born at the end of 2023). From there, I found a huge need in our community to support women in fitness. We launched our second class LIFT (Low Impact Functional Training) in August of 2024 and then outgrew our space so we moved to the Playground. By January we were running 5 days a week with classes being held in two Parks in Park Circle and maintained our Foundations Course in rented space in the circle. Fast forward to March 2024 and the opportunity to open a brick and mortar location dropped into our lap, and God opened every single door we needed opened to launch RevFit Studio in May of 2025!

RevFit Studio was born from a desire to do fitness differently. After navigating postpartum recovery and feeling unseen in traditional workout spaces, I set out to create something new—a studio built for women, by a woman who gets it. With my background in core and pelvic floor training, it was important to me that we build a smart, sustainable fitness program journey for women—especially moms—who want to feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies again. And do so in a way that is non-jugemental, super supportive, and prevents injury or burnout. My own journey through postpartum recovery and the ongoing challenges of balancing motherhood and wellness made it clear how few spaces truly support women in the ways we need.

RevFit Studio is not just a place to work out, but a community of support grounded in transformation, healing, and empowerment. Our instructors blend real-life experience with expert knowledge to create a fitness environment where women feel safe, seen, and supported.

Whether you’re just beginning your movement journey or returning after a season away, my mission is to help you reconnect with your body and rise into your strength. Today we run 30+ Classes a week and offer Barbell Strength Training, Low Impact Functional Training, Barre, Mat Pilates, Restorative yoga, and Vinyasa Flow classes. We still run our Foundations Sessions several times a year and in 2026 we will be rolling out a 4-Class Intro to Barbell Training Series that’ll run monthly!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This is a tough question… I’m still processing our launch and first 6-ish months in business. The challenges and struggles along the way started the 2+ years prior to the doors opening… More of a personal healing journey where I was forced to learn how to surrender my own path to the Lord and trust His ways are higher and trust His timing. I’m SO GRATEFUL for that HARD pruning season and learning journey because when I say God placed everything into motion and opened every door necessary… I mean it. This path has felt aligned, supported, and without too much challenge or stress. Our biggest challenge now is that we are already outgrowing our space. I am grateful for waitlisted classes but I hate having to turn people away. So I guess in essence, it’s been a pretty smooth road, that honestly doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

As you know, we’re big fans of RevFit Studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Women are also welcome to bring their {well behaved} kids to class. We don’t have designated childcare but we do have designated space for kids to hang out while their moms workout.

What are your plans for the future?
Oh the future! We are just over 6 months into this journey and it’s been so fruitful and life changing. I can only imagine the future is bright! We have our sites on expansion, but no hard timeline. Trusting the Lord to provide the path forward and making plans in 2026 to be able to support more women in Charleston.
