Plant, paint, sip, and mingle!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like many small businesses, we’ve faced our share of challenges — from learning what sells (and what doesn’t), to opening our doors just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Through it all, we’ve continued to grow and adapt, thanks to the incredible support of our Abbeville community. This small town has shown us big love, and we’re also grateful for the many day-trippers and visitors who make Divine Your Space part of their Abbeville experience.

We’ve been impressed with Divine Your Space , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in plants — it’s where it all began.
Divine Your Space originally started as a plant store, but wow… how we’ve grown! Over the past seven years, we’ve expanded far beyond greenery, but plants will always be at our roots.

Today, we’re known for having just the right thing — whether it’s the perfect plant, a thoughtful gift, or a creative experience.

What I’m most proud of, though, is the community we’ve built. Especially during our First Friday Flight Nights — the energy, the crowd, the laughter… it’s like walking into Cheers! Everyone knows each other, and newcomers instantly feel welcome. It’s a vibe that’s hard to describe, but impossible to forget.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important quality behind our success has been staying true to who we are — as people and as a business. We’ve grown, evolved, and added new elements over the years, but we’ve never strayed from creating a space that feels warm, welcoming, and genuine.

Whether someone walks in for a plant, a gift, a glass of wine, or a workshop, they’re met with real conversations, honest recommendations, and a sense of community. We don’t try to be like everyone else — we focus on what feels right for us and for Abbeville.

That authenticity has helped us build trust, lasting relationships, and a place people want to come back to — again and again.
