Today we’d like to introduce you to Jameka Murphy.
Hi Jameka, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s been intentional. I started out simply doing what needed to be done, helping people, organizing, creating, and showing up in spaces where there were gaps. Over time, I realized that what I was naturally doing was brand strategy. I have an eye for seeing what something can be, not just what it is, and helping people, businesses, and organizations communicate that clearly and effectively. That’s what led me to fully step into my role as a brand strategist through my work with 24K Enterprise Consulting and the many community-based initiatives I’ve been a part of.
At the same time, my personal life shaped me just as much as my professional one. Living with a disability, including the loss of my right hand, changed how I navigate the world and how the world responds to me. That experience forced me to learn how to advocate for myself first, and that naturally grew into advocating for others. Whether I’m speaking on panels, working with community organizations, or creating spaces for awareness and access, my voice is rooted in lived experience.
Today, I sit at the intersection of both. I’m a brand strategist who helps people build with clarity and purpose, and a disability advocate who uses my story to create impact, shift perspectives, and make sure people feel seen. Everything I do is grounded in intention, community, and making sure what we build actually serves people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
On the business side, one of the biggest challenges has been getting people to truly understand the value of brand strategy and marketing. A lot of people want quick results, but they don’t always want to do the work that produces those results. Because of that, I’ve found myself having to prove my value over and over again, which can be exhausting when you know the impact of what you bring.
Building something from the ground up comes with its own set of struggles, figuring things out as you go, navigating inconsistencies, and pushing through moments where things don’t move as fast as you’d like.
As a disability advocate, the challenge is different but just as heavy. It can feel like the work is never done. There is always another gap, another conversation that needs to be had, another barrier that people don’t see or understand. And that can be frustrating, especially because many people don’t truly understand until they experience it themselves.
At the core of it, both journeys have required patience, resilience, and a deep commitment to keep going, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about 24K Enterprise Consulting ?
24K Enterprise Consulting is a brand strategy and marketing consulting firm focused on helping businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations build with clarity, intention, and purpose.
At the core of what I do is helping people understand that a brand is more than a logo or a look, it’s how you communicate, how you show up, and how people experience you. I specialize in developing brand strategy, marketing direction, and content positioning that actually aligns with where a business is going, not just where it is right now.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just give ideas, I help build the foundation behind them. I work closely with my clients to identify gaps, create structure, and develop strategies that make sense for their audience and their goals. A lot of people focus on quick wins, but I focus on sustainability and making sure what you’re building can last.
I’m also known for being very hands-on and honest. I don’t believe in surface-level branding. I believe in doing the work, asking the right questions, and making sure the brand reflects the truth of the business.
What I’m most proud of is the impact, helping businesses gain clarity, helping organizations communicate better with their communities, and creating strategies that actually move things forward.
I want people to know that when they work with 24K Enterprise Consulting, they’re not just getting marketing support, they’re getting a partner who is committed to helping them build something that makes sense, connects, and grows.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
When it comes to finding a mentor, I believe it starts with connection. You need to find someone you genuinely align with, not just someone with a title or status. Mentorship, to me, should feel natural and rooted in relationship.
Personally, I don’t believe in paying someone to be a mentor. I understand that people value their time and expertise, but I’ve always seen mentorship as something that should be given, not transactional. I mentor a few people myself, and I don’t charge for that. It’s about being present, sharing knowledge, and helping someone navigate their journey.
I can honestly say I haven’t had a traditional mentor, but I have learned from people along the way. One person who has had a significant impact on me is Representative Wendell Jones, who is also the pastor of Changing Your Mind Ministry. I went through his business incubator course in District 25, and it shifted how I see the business side of what I do. It gave me structure, perspective, and a deeper understanding of how to move with intention in business.
In general, what has worked well for me in networking is simply showing up, being genuine, and building real relationships. Not every connection needs to be transactional. Sometimes the most valuable lessons come from being in the right rooms, listening, and staying open to growth.
