Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Edmonds
Hi Hannah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a drummer for the last 20 years and about 3 years ago another musician offered to teach me how to DJ. I worked with their company for a bit and then started my own DJ business in July of 2024.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Since this is my first time managing a business, I have had to navigate the roadblocks and obstacles that come up with owning your own business. However, this has taught me to ask questions of other experts in the field and research heavily to ensure I’m offering the best product possible to my clients.
As you know, we’re big fans of Capital Beats Entertainment. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a queer and female owned mobile DJ business specializing in weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and karaoke. I service events happening in NC, SC, and GA, and am based out of Columbia, SC. I am known for my wide taste in music and ability to read a room to keep the party going. The fundamentals of DJing require you to keep a beat, so, my drumming experience makes me uniquely qualified, bringing my expertise to my profession.

I love entertaining people and always have. It brings a smile to my face to watch others have fun and enjoy themselves through the music and mixes that I create.
