Hidden Gems: Meet Gabriel Abrams of Elite Mobile IV

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Abrams

Hi Gabriel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I never really understood what it meant to be a nurse until I stepped foot into the ER of a level 1 trauma center. Nursing school tries to teach you this, but the ER was where I really learned. I am grateful for the two nursing mentors I have that have helped me discover what I am capable of as a nurse. My first nursing mentor was a legendary trauma nurse who had been at this ER forever and was assigned to me in the ER. Through trial by fire I learned quickly and became extremely capable. A year later, and it was time to make the next move in my journey. And so Elite Mobile IV came to be. Later, I met my second nursing mentor, a nurse who founded a successful private nursing and consulting business, and he expanded my perspective on what nurses could achieve on their own outside of the hospital system. He showed me that nursing was more than a career, but a unique skillset you can apply to any realm of business and life. He was the proof I needed to keep pushing to build something for myself outside of the hospital system. Currently I continue to build the most elite team of nurses and medical providers. Elite Mobile IV now provides IV hydration & other wellness services to patient’s homes to help them feel better faster and accomplish their wellness goals.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The hardest part is the road of uncertainty. When you quit your job you lose your “safety net.” It is very difficult to dedicate yourself completely and see little to no results for a very long time. And during these dark and tedious times you will have to undergo extreme self development in order to become the person who can achieve the levels of success you desire. You can see this process displayed in the book, The Count of Monte Cristo, where Dantès is betrayed by his friends and had to endure 14 years of prison in order to become the infamous Count of Monte Cristo, a man of great wealth and influence. But during these grim times were his most transformative. All while him never knowing whether he would ever see the light of day again and exact his revenge, he stayed focused. If you knew you would be betrayed by your closest friends and endure 14 years of isolation in the horrendous Chateau d’If to become who you wanted to be in life, would you?

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Perseverance has been critical to my success. It’s extremely rare something works the first time. You always have to keep trying and not give up. You’ll come up with a million reasons to give up but no matter what you have to keep going. Eventually you’ll either outlast everyone or have had the time to see through a plan that works. It can be hard to build momentum, but it is much harder to keep starting over.
