Hidden Gems: Meet Drea Tremols of Soul Vibration Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drea Tremols.

Hi Drea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Drea grew up in Camden, South Carolina and has lived in Argentina, Spain, Vermont and recently moved back to her home state of South Carolina to settle in beautiful Greenville. She graduated from the BodySoul Massage and Bodywork School in St. Albans, Vermont in 2017 and for 8 years she partnered with the fantastic team at Cedarwood Natural Health Center in South Burlington, Vermont where she enjoyed working with patients from all walks of life as she supported their chiropractic care with massage and sports therapy. She is certified in Swedish massage, Deep Tissue, Ashiatsu Barefoot massage, Manual Lymph Drainage, Buccal Intraoral Massage, TMJ techniques, Craniosacral Therapy, Guasha, Cupping, Warm stone and warm bamboo massage and Soft Tissue Release. She has practiced meditation and energy healing work for over 15 years and is a Master Reiki practitioner. She holds workshops and classes in energy healing, mindfulness meditation, and Thai yoga massage. In 2019 she acquired her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and in 2022 went on to get her 300-hour yoga teacher training with Soma Yoga Institute based out of California, making her a 500 hour certified instructor. She especially loves teaching Nidra and Restorative yoga, blending massage, aromatherapy, and Reiki into her yoga classes. She is thrilled to be back in her home state and serving the needs of the greater Greenville community.

After healing from chronic Lyme disease, she became passionate about supporting the healing journey of others with chronic illness and offers support through wellness consultation, manual lymph drainage massage and guided visualization groups. When she is not working with clients to increase well-being, you can find her playing with her pup Sammy Chuck, teaching as a massage instructor at a local bodywork school, exploring secret waterfalls and hiking with her partner, dabbling in photography and playing percussion and writing music on guitar.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I almost didn’t graduate from massage school due to illness but luckily a good friend helped me and encouraged me and I was able to complete it. Less than 3 years into starting my business the pandemic shut me down for almost a year. Clients were slow to return but I made it through by working multiple other jobs outside my profession and was able to stay afloat until folks returned. During this time I was also in recovery from a chronic Lyme infection that I struggled for 7 years to heal. All in all it’s been a wild ride and it’s taken a lot of perseverance to make it to where I’m at today.

As you know, we’re big fans of Soul Vibration Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I started out in 2017 focused on working with musicians. As a singer and musician myself, I was passionate about the population. At this time I was living in Burlington, Vermont which has a huge music scene for such a small town. I worked with some amazing people, famous both locally, regionally and nationally. It was a real treat and an inspiring experience for me both as a bodyworker and musician. Also at this time I had been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and was struggling to heal. The traditional methods of medicine were not working for me so I was very sick trying to work my multiple jobs as I was trying to get a business off the ground. I decided to specialize in manual lymphatic drainage as this , and infrared treatemtents were key in helping me start to heal the Lyme infection. I started moving away from musicians and focusing more on chronic illness as I could relate to this group as I was going through my own wellness journey. I offer many types of services from Swedish to warm bamboo to sports therapy and warm stone. I am also trained as a 500 hour yoga instructor and have been a Reiki practitioner for almost 20 years. I use all these trainings in every session I give to a client, creating unique treatment plans that fit each person’s needs and goals. I’m passionate about helping people find resources and make the changes they need to make to have a higher quality of life.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The body has an innate ability to heal and repair itself. It’s miraculous actually and the more I experience in my career the more I realize that everyone walking around on this planet has something going on-a challenge of some kind whether emotional, physical, mental or spiritual. No one really just gets a free pass and that helps me to have a deep compassion and empathy for people in general. Even when someone does something terrible, I’m able to connect to the knowledge that somewhere in the past, that person was hurt and thus they go on hurting others. It does not mean I condone violent actions but it helps me to stay connected to my empathy. This is vital with the population I work with. This is because when folks are chronically sick they are not always the most kind, patient or even tempered individuals and can be extremely challenging both in treatment plans and attitude.
