Today we’d like to introduce you to Cori Stuart
Hi Cori, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out graduating college in time for an economic dip and not being hired in the industry which my degree was in, Museum Studies and went into a field I thought would never have employment dip – finance. I spent most of my twenties and thirties being a highly anxious, underpaid corporate employee who was miserable trying to fit into the square while being a star.
In my thirties I was introduced to energy work, specifically reiki, due to a friend suggesting it may assist with my anxiety and after two sessions I felt much better. It was also around this time I was introduced to mindset techniques, different than anything I had experienced in therapy. I felt like the individuals were getting solutions, not just more questions or told to come back in a couple of weeks. These tools implanted an idea or dream if you will. As a result I started to study reiki and mindset work and have now become a Usui Reiki master, and I continue to study mindset and neurological techniques for over ten years. It took me several years to shift into my dream full time, but I now share the tools I learned with other individuals as an intuitive, mentor and healer. It is an honor and privilege to create a sacred space for others to learn, heal and reconnect within.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest struggles that I faced was people pleasing versus self trust. I really struggled to believe that I could make it as an entrepreneur and an expert in my field. I was conditioned to be a peg in the corporate wheel and to adhere to the middle class mindset of have the job, the family, and the house and not rock the boat. When I mentioned the idea of doing reiki or mentorship/ coaching I was encouraged to “stay in my lane” or “only grow so much”. Thankfully I was able to start the shift of self believe and understanding and continued to develop my voice as an intuitive through the healing and coaching sessions with clients. Unfortunately, I had a nasty car accident in which I was rolled several times and received a TBI. I had the opportunity to take care of myself as my own best client and relearn many of the tools used for energetic barriers and the physical tools over the spam of several years. Thankfully, with a little refresh, the information between my two ears learned over the years was still intact.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I serve as a heart based, holistic healer who assists individuals in soulful re-connection through releasing anxiousness, self-doubt and energetic blockages, utilizing the chakras as guides. I believe that life should be lived from the heart and am passionate about assisting others to no longer feel like a plus one within their own lives.
What sets me apart from others is my intuitive capacity to understand what my clients are going through, to be able to listen to their issues and desires and create a custom healing program for them. I have always enjoyed assisting individuals to learn from their past to create a healthier and more empowered future. I am most proud of being able to create a sacred space for individuals to connect with themselves for balance and sovereignty combining intellectual, energetic and physical tools.
I’ve been able to assist with family turmoil, anxiety reduction, headache mitigation, relationship transition, and general balance. I’m excited to be able to offer mentorship through transitions and anxiety reduction in addition to in person and remote healing sessions. I also offer reiki infused crystals, oils and bath salt healing kits.
As a Usui Reiki Master, I am honored to teach the Usui Ryoho attunements of Level 1, 2, and Master. With Reiki Level 1 you are able to execute self care and it is something I am passionate about working with as many individuals as possible as I view this as an incredible asset in one’s self care tool kit.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up I was shy, definitely what we now refer to as an introvert. I loved to read, spend time outdoors, and travel. I grew up going to a ranch in Wyoming and we would drive from Illinois most summers. Even as a kid I would be interested in crystals in the gift shops, ghost stories – at one point I wanted to go to William and Mary for college as it was reportedly the most haunted campus in the USA – and cultural stories. I always loved learning about stories of the places I was able to travel to,
I also cannot forget to mention my love for the beauty mother nature provides. I was petrified of thunderstorms when really little and still respect the power of a storm and the rainbows that occur afterwards.
Athletically, I was also a swimmer and golfer meaning I got a lot of time in water and nature which are still where I feel most comfortable and where I receive most of my healing. I learned early on that spirit is all around us, not necessarily just in buildings and books.
I got hooked on history fairly young, around age 8 or 9, and pursed studying history all the way to achieving my Master’s Degree. At the time, I had the dream of working in a museum and assisting others to learn from the past. Now I work with individuals to learn from their own past for their own brighter futures, I’m a firm believer we can learn from our stories and the stories of those around us.
