Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Allen.
Hi Brooke, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in California and moved to South Carolina in 1999. I have always known there was something more to me and just never paid attention to it. I have always been into Psychic Mediums and went to my first psychic at age 15. My mom took me. It was in a small town called Santa Maria CA. She had her house on the main road with a huge sign, psychic readings, $25. She was very accurate
She told me I would be living on the east coast and I thought she was crazy. Years later she was right. I was also obsessed with Sylvia Brown on Montel. I started doing drugs and alcohol at a very early age of 13. I feel like I suppressed my ability for years and tried to block it because i didnt understand it. It was when I was in my early 30s when I quit smoking pot that everything started to flood in. I thought I was going crazy. I was second guessing my decision to quit. I had my first panic attack and anxiety started that I had never experienced before. I went to counseling to try to figure out what was causing it, that didn’t work. I went on anxiety medicine and that numbed me to the point I had no expression or feelings and I didn’t like that, so I quit medication after about a year. I was having dreams and seeing things, i could hear voices. I was working at my restaurant; I have co-owned this restaurant for 16 years now and have worked there for 25 years and counting. I would be working and could hear and feel the customers loved ones talking to me. I didn’t know what to do with it. It kept getting stronger and stronger and it would make me feel like I was dying. It was very overwhelming to feel all of the energy and information that would flood in. There were times I would just try to pray it away. I didn’t understand it. After 4 years of trying to push it away, It wasn’t going anywhere, so I decided to embrace it. I went to my first Mediumship Development circle 10 years ago and I was blown away by what I picked up in that class. For 5 years I took classes, 3 different mentorships, 1000s of practice readings. One of my best friends convinced me of offering readings to the public, which I did in June of 2021. Since then, I have grown my business and now share a commercial office space where I live. I work public events and do mediumship demonstrations as well as travel for work. I host a podcast called Spiritual Vacancy, going into year 3, I’m a certified Reiki practicer since 2017, I host women’s spiritual retreat’s that sell out in 2 days every fall. I offer mentorship programs and host development circles monthly.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, actually can be very challenging. I’m working with energy that is not tangible. Nobody around me can see it, touch it, hear the souls of loved ones passed but I can. I always say, ” I’m the interpreter for the deaf.”
Our loved ones that have passed away don’t have mouths or ears, they don’t have a physical body, but their soul still exists so they communicate differently. It can be challenging working with spirit because I haven’t lived every life or every experience. Its challenging because it’s the only career, I have had, that I have to prove myself to my clients. Sometimes multiple times a day. I get a lot of skeptics, but I don’t care. Your loved ones always show up and show out. Healthy skepticism is natural and I welcome it. The living can drain the life out of you though, not the dead.

I’m an evidential psychic medium, which means that your loved one’s will tell their story, who they were when they were physically here, and they will talk about their family that is still living so you know that they aren’t missing anything and they aren’t truly gone. They have a seat at my table right next to you. Your loved ones aren’t stuck or trapped or at a lower vibration. They are always near you whether it’s been a day or 40 years since they passed away. My job is to work for your loved ones in spirit, not you. I have to communicate their words correctly, so you know that they are without a doubt in the room with us. What sets me apart is my dedication to the work. It’s not a joke; it’s not just for fun. There are ethics behind what I offer and who I am. These are your loved ones that have a story to tell and I respect them in spirit. I appreciate my clients for trusting me with their loved ones, to deliver the messages of healing. I have grown my business by word of mouth only. I have never bought 1 ad or promoted my business. I feel like if you are sitting in front of me you are supposed to be and that is by divine guidance they found me. What I do is very personal and not something I go around telling everyone so I get business. My reputation where I live is amazing and I’m booked out for months because of it. My husbsnd of 23 years is my biggest supporter. Im also a proud mom of our son and I love my dogs. I’m always learning and continuing my education. With this type of work there is no graduation and certifications mean absolutely nothing, anyone can print a certificate, it doesn’t mean you are good, it just means you are out $15 dollars
