Hidden Gems: Meet Bresha Marvray Miranda Gilbert of Energy Wax Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bresha Marvray Miranda Gilbert.

Hi Bresha Marvray, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
With over a decade in the industry Miranda realized that her clients needed and deserved more out of their monthly waxing visits and began curating treatments for a more personalized and effective approach to hair removal. Bresha, once a dedicated client, joined Miranda as a business partner driven by her passion for excellence in waxing and skincare. This journey led
to creating a space where clients receive tailored waxing experiences that cater to their skin’s unique requirements during and after the process to ensure smoothness all month long.
Our spa features a signature five-step ‘Spa Glow Treatments, ‘ a luxurious waxing experience designed for comfort and deliver beautifully smooth results, especially for intimate areas like bikini and underarm waxing. I’m addition we take pride in our eyebrow shaping, and full body head to toe waxing .

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running a wax spa is a mix of art, precision, and pure resilience. Beneath the polished aesthetic of smooth skin and scented rooms lies a constant battle of numbers, marketing, and adaptation. Every month brings a new set of hurdles — rent, supply costs, booking gaps, and the never-ending cycle of staying visible in an oversaturated beauty market. Finding consistent clientele takes more than skill with a wax strip; it requires strategy, personality, and persistence.
The financial side is equally demanding. Between product expenses, licensing fees, unpredictability and slow seasons, profit margins can feel thin. We wear multiple hats — esthetician, marketer, accountant, and therapist — just to keep the lights on. Yet, there’s a reward in every returning client’s trust and every milestone reached. For those who choose this path, owning a wax spa isn’t just about beauty. It’s about commitment, resilience, tough skin, and building something lasting in an ever-shifting industry.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

We’ve built a reputation for gentle, detailed technique and a results-driven approach that prioritizes both smoothness and skin health.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Our advice for finding a mentor is to start with clarity, not desperation. Get specific about what you need help with — numbers, leadership, systems, or growth etc— so you know what kind of experience you’re actually looking for. Then, look around you: past coworkers, other spa owners, beauty educators, or local business owners who are already doing what you’re trying to do. Follow their work, show up where they show up, and pay attention to their drive, hungry, and work ethic. Do you think they have the potential?
Instead of asking, “Will you be my mentor?”
For networking in general, put yourself in the rooms and online spaces where serious owners and creatives are learning and talking about business, not just trends. As questions, volunteer, show you are someone that deserves the opportunity to be mentored . Someone who will take it seriously and will do what they need to do to grow and build a good clientele.
