Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Corso.
Hi Ashley , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2017 I had a 6 month old and was working in television in Charlotte. I loved my job but I desperately wanted to spend more time with my son. My husband and I knew we wanted to be closer to family here in Easley so we jokingly threw out the idea “what if we quit our jobs & opened a craft beer taproom”.. Shortly after, we started looking at properties available for sale in downtown Easley. We found our location, 116 East Main St. which is a historical building built in 1910 as a movie theater. The building was in horrible condition, but it was the one we knew we had to have. My husband is a visionary and saw the potential through all the cobwebs & lack of modern amenities. We purchased the building in October 2017 thanks to our Charlotte home’s value and spent the next 9 months living with my wonderful parents while we renovated the building. We opened in July 2018 & were welcomed with open arms from the city of Easley & the amazing people who live here. Over the next 6 years we made friends, watched people falll in love, get married and start families. We’ve watched people make their own new friendships, share their grief, and happy moments together. That’s exactly what we wanted when we decided to open The Pint Station. A family friendly place for fellowship, acceptance & the best vibes! We were always investing back into our business with upgrades each year and in November 2024 we launched a full kitchen serving upscale & unique bar fare. We use beef tallow & house make a lot of our sauces, soups, etc. We continue to be amazed by the love and support of the people of Easley.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The struggles.. oh the struggles.
Renovating an old building
Being told no one in Easley will drink craft beer (so so wrong)
That one year that everything shut down… we were forced to be closed for 70 days!! We rolled our TV’s to the patio and sold draft beef to go, can beer to go and anything else the community would buy. That was a tough one.
Balancing mom life and business is always tough. I am so happy that I chose this life because I do get to spend more time with my son than if I was in corporate life but the hours are long when you’re a business owner in the hospitality world.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Pint Station ?
Everyone is welcome. The craft beer selection is always changing and always relevant. We have a large curated wine selection that you won’t find at your local grocery store. We cook with beef tallow. We play bingo on Tuesdays, trivia on Thursdays, live music on the weekends & NFL Sunday ticket on Sundays. Dog friendly on the covered patio.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
People make me happy. I love watching people meet, make friends, fall in love, hear their stories.
Spending time with my family & friends.
