Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Noegel.
Hi Alex, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out designing for bands over the many years that I was playing live music. After attending Art Institute of Atlanta in 2004, the journey had just begun. Working with hundreds of clients from all over, I was able to polish up my design style that I couldn’t get from college. In 2021, I started working at a print shop here, learning screen printing from the ground up. Over time I saw how many small businesses struggled to look professional without spending a ton of money. It reminded me of being in a band. Having to contact a million different places for a million different things to get up and running was exhausting and can kill the mood. That’s why I launched Iron Mast Creative. I want to give new and growing businesses everything they need in one place: website, promo materials, screen printing, and anything else that can help the vision. Right now, I’m finishing up building out Iron Mast HQ, taking early client jobs, and creating Iron Mast’s own merch line. My goal is pretty simple: help small businesses get noticed/grow while I grow on my own as well. I’m excited, the future holds some awesome things for Iron Mast!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road to get here. Balancing a full-time job at a print shop while building Iron Mast Creative on the side takes a lot of late nights and sacrifice. The financial side has also been a challenge. Investing in equipment and supplies while still making sure bills get paid isn’t easy. On top of that, there’s the learning curve of running the business side, not just the creative. But honestly, those struggles have pushed me to get resourceful, to solve hard problems, and to keep moving forward no matter what.

Iron Mast Creative is a design and print studio built to give small businesses everything they need in one place. We specialize in branding, web design, apparel, stickers, screen printing, and even social media management. Basically from the logo and website all the way to the shirts, merch, and online presence that get a business noticed. What sets us apart is the mix of design, production, and digital support under one roof. I don’t just hand over files; I bring ideas to life physically and digitally, whether that’s screen printing shirts/stickers, building websites, or running social media campaigns. I’m most proud that Iron Mast is growing from the ground up with a hands-on approach. It’s about being in the trenches with other small businesses, helping them look professional while I build my own brand alongside theirs.
What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is creating things. Not one thing specifically, just anything. I guess I’m still very in touch with that childhood curiosity that dissipates in some as the “adult life” takes over. Whether its a painting on a scrap piece of wood, designing a graphic for something (or nothing), pulling a fresh shirt off the press, or seeing a small business light up when they wanted help. I get the same feeling I get from writing and playing music: creating something from nothing and sharing it with people. That mix of creativity, craft, and helping others is what keeps me going.
