Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrienne Robinson
Hi Adrienne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
How do I start the story of how I arrived at this point in my life. Well, it all started with a phone call. My sister messaged me to see if I wanted to go half with her in selling products for another company. We did well and we made our sells, but I was a stay-at-home mom, and my friend worked. So, a lot of the responsibility relied on me. Eventually it was just me. After a while I started to feel that it wasn’t for me that God wanted to go in another direction. I tried to venture out on my own. I was still selling the other products, but I was also working on what it was that I wanted to do. That’s when A’z Wellness was born. I took a class to be certified to do ionic foot detox. I had a building and everything set up for my clients to come and relax. I also ended up making sugar scrubs and hand sanitizer lotion. My first pop shop went well. I began to set up at the flea market as well. I met some wonderful people there. All of us just trying to build our own brand. My products expanded and I began to get better at my craft. The line of products expanding to body butter, soaps, and body oils. I even took some online classes to learn more about the skin and how I could help others take care of themselves.
But what changed things for me was running into Foodees. They are a traveling food truck festival. They helped me not only reach people that I would never meet on my own but also gave me tips on how I can make my business stand out. I ended up changing my business name to A’z Alluring Body Care. I felt that this name represented what I provide and what my business was about. I’m still working on being consistent with social media, but my business is growing, and I am proud of what I have accomplished. I love hearing how my customers are happy with what they are putting on their skin. It makes me smile and I enjoy whipping and combining every order that I receive.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? No, there were definitely some bumps in the road. Like most you have to have money to spend to start a business, but I can say I had a great support system. From my husband, my parents, and my siblings. They supported rather financially or just by spreading the word. Outside of that it was mostly on how to reach people that would take a chance on you. You have to deal with people that will question your ability to deliver on what it is you are selling which is understandable. You struggle with what should your prices be. Are they too high are they too low to the point where you are shorting yourself. Things that you figure out on along the way.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
A’z Alluring Body Care offers a range of handcrafted body care products designed to nourish and pamper your skin. I am known for created body care products that leave in sense of awe. The way that oil or butter leaves your skin feeling and smelling throughout the day. I take pride in knowing that I try my best. I do a lot of research for the best ingredients to use my products.
What sets me apart from other’s depends on what you are looking for. Business wise, we all have different recipes on what we consider works better for the skin. Personally, I don’t believe in selling dreams. I want my products to speak for themselves. I couldn’t imagine myself telling someone that my product will for sure get rid of this or that because it may not work for that person the same it did for someone else. I don’t want to sow doubt, but I also don’t want to sow false hope for a sale. I guess I should have put that in the struggle section. But what is for me will be for me and that’s all I can hope for.

Not a lot of people know that I love to read. I am also working on writing my first book.
