Hi Yolanda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
WOW! My story… My journey started as a little girl being raised in a small town, Kershaw, SC. Honestly, that’s where my rage and unforgiveness began. Watching the KKK march through your town, watching crosses burn, and being called a monkey, is not the easiest thing to hear or see at a young age. That part of my life taught me how to hate, and become someone who I wasn’t. In the midst of my anger, I told myself if I dress like, look like, and talk like white people I would be loved and everyone would like me… that was a young girl not understanding how easily and quickly life can happen. Growing into a teenager and woman, that anger festered and I became more angry because of rejection and insecurities I carried. Not having a father in my life created so many insecurities and caused me to miss the beautiful girl in the mirror. As life continued to happen, my unhealed soul began making unhealthy decisions, financially, relational, and intimately. Today, I thank GOD for Jesus and my journey of healing. Did it feel good? NO. Was it for my good, yes! The hate I learned so easily, was now forgiveness. Fastforward a few years, I met an amazing woman who was the igniting fire to my path as an author, coach, and consultant. I will never forget her saying to me, “I am the mirror in front of you, showing what you can’t see.” That stuck with me and I will never forget it! After that, GOD placed me in rooms with doctors of the highest caliber. Did I have the education or language to match? No, but I had enough wisdom to be quiet, glean, and eat every word of wisdom, while using it to grow internally and prepare for my future as a coach/consultant. Today. I am the mirror for so many wives, women, and relationships. Through my trials and tribulations GOD equipped me with the discernment to see and feel the hurt of others without them saying one word. I count it an honor to serve the people of GOD and become a midwife for the birthing of their new destiny, purpose, and life. Someone lifted me, and I will always lift someone else.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a Black Business Woman comes with unprecedented struggle. Being a black woman, you turn heads when you enter a room, either for the good or bad. I have learned how to fight constantly for what I know I was called to do. While others were sleeping and dreaming, I was making, designing, and preparing for my next level. I am not an overnight success, but I am success. I had to let go of a lot just to hang on to more. I lost a lot, sacrificed a lot, and sometimes used bill money to keep my business doors open. I didn’t start with a business plan or business funding. I started with God and faith. I don’t take one sleepless night for granted. My blood, sweat, and tears are in everything I do. I was told no several times. I was looked over too many times. However, it only took one yes from GOD, and his yes conquers every no from man.

Total Grace Consulting, LLC is a coaching and consulting firm that provides help for today, hope for tomorrow, and strategy for organizations. A place where hope fuels and grace abounds. I give accountability and empowerment to women and wives living lives full of uncertainty and despair. I take pride in helping women bloom where they have been planted. For organizations, I share engagement best practices as a person with lived experience of inequities coach/consultant. Grace Coaching Academy is a Life Coach Certification Program under the umbrella of Total Grace Consulting. At Grace Coaching Academy we groom healed individuals to become certified life coaches who build healed communities. As a Symbis Certified Relationship Facilitator, through biblical principles, I coach couples into healthy relationships by creating new behaviors, communication skills, and goal setting.
