Hi Tana , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When my 9 year old daughter was a baby, I was blessed to be able to stay home with her for almost 2 years. During that time, I started playing around with ranch dressing recipes solely because I loved ranch dressing and could not find restaurant quality ranch dressings at grocery stores. I also love salads and they weren’t great without a restaurant quality salad dressing.

This opened up a box of possibilities of all the ways I could make ranch dressing! So for the next year, I literally scientifically played around with different seasonings and bases to find my perfect ranch dressing recipe. When I returned to work, people started taste testing for me and I got down to my final recipe. The Genuine Ranch Dressing Company was then basically born. (Without the name yet!) My first sales were people at work who started buying jars!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think any business owner on Earth would say it’s a smooth road. There are so many factors constantly coming at you externally and internally. Externally are the things most people think about: inflation, rising prices, availability of products, regulatory stuff, taxes, and scarcity. But often, what I have found to be the hardest is being your own worst critic and not believing in yourself or that you can overcome the next challenge. It’s all a part of it. But if you want to solve a problem and create something, it’s not a straight road. There will be ups and downs that I believe if it’s meant to be then it will eventually be worth it. And you’ll be stronger for it. And grateful you didn’t give up.

We are a mom owned company specializing in made from scratch, refrigerated ranch dressings. My hope is that we are known for delicious, hand crafted ranch dressing flavors and for being Genuine and loving to everyone we interact with. My desire is that loving the person in front of us will always be a priority and serving them well. If we can serve people well with something like ranch dressing , I would have succeeded. Brand wise, I hope to always just be transparent, clear and people focused. I hope that everyone I have ever interacted with or that has bought a bottle from me would feel that but as we grow, I hope anyone interacting with the “The Genuine Ranch Dressing Co..” will feel that as well. Overall, I sincerely love ranch dressing and people. So many of our customers love ranch dressing as much as I do and pick their restaurants and pizza around their ranch! Providing high quality, flavorful and diversity in flavor in our Genuine Ranch Dressings is how I hope to serve them well!
