Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I obtained my Esthetic license in 2013. I very quickly fell in love with how I was able to really help people learn about their skin and learn how to take care of it and love it. I love helping people feel more confident and feel like they need less makeup. Over the years, I have obtained several other licenses in the field, including Nails, Laser and recently took my Teaching courses as well. I absolutely love putting skincare routines together and helping people along their personalized skin journey. I have owned Butterfly Beauty Spa going on 9 years now and have big dreams for where I would like to see it grow.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course there are always struggles. building new clientele, keeping up with all the new technology and products. Covid also posed quite a lot of challenges. I have also moved states a few times, so re-building, re-branding and learning the area, the skin challenges with each climate and just putting myself out in the community. I do believe this makes you stronger and able to handle challenges better. I also created a few courses for new Estheticians, so getting that going has been a fun challenge.
