Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Ziesler.
Sarah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the US in 2017. Back in Germany, I had the opportunity to work in every department of a company, and when I worked in corporate America, I climbed the ladder fairly quickly.
When a friend started their business, I was very excited about it and helped out. I quickly realized that there are a lot of business owners who have an incredible skillset and passion but struggle to run a business properly. Thankfully I had the right people in my corner who encouraged me to start my own business serving those.
I believe we are put on this earth for a reason and starting my business, with the intention of making an impact in the world, ignited my own journey of self development through entrepreneurship.
Leaving the corporate world, especially a male dominated industry, I never thought I’d be creating a company around women. Though my own journey of being in a leadership position as a woman and unlearning the beliefs that come with that, have allowed me to realize that I can be in balance with my feminine and my masculine and still be successful.
A female approach to business is what I strive to share through Shine, ShEO! While I believe working hard is important and part of the success of your business, sheer discipline without a truly aligned strategy will not get you to the goal.
Through the many types of coaching I’ve invested in, I’ve learned the good and the bad of this unregulated industry. Through courses, programs, memberships, and workshops, I have had the opportunity to see clearly what gets you the best results, which is why the Shine, ShEO! Academy was intentionally designed with all its features to help women excel in business.
Shine, ShEO! is on a mission to change the game of business for women entrepreneurs who want it all, are willing to work for it, and truly believe that energetic alignment is at the core of success. It’s not about working harder; it’s about working smarter.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story. Has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
I don’t think any business is a smooth ride, and everyone faces different challenges. Our main job as a business owner is fixing problems and overcoming challenges which I had from day one.
I still remember the day I made the decision to leave the corporate world, the excitement I felt and the dream of success I had. I made the jump, and I fell flat on my face for about eight months. Until I got my first client and then again and again trying to make this work.
The limiting beliefs that were constantly in my head: “You’re not good enough.”, “You’re too young.”, “You’re lazy, you don’t have discipline.”, “Showing your emotions is a sign of weakness.” All of this made it a lot harder.
In the end, it sparked my own journey of self-development, trying to find the magic formula to overnight success. What I got instead was 1000x more powerful: Unlearning the beliefs that were no longer serving me and learning how to be in alignment with myself and my business, which attracted the success I wanted but, more importantly, the fulfillment I sought.
After finally having built a solid foundation, the next challenge of growing too much too fast came, and with it, the stress, overwhelm, and fear around sustaining it.
Every year since starting my business, I have faced different challenges. But without those, I wouldn’t have grown the way I did, and looking back, I’m thankful for them as they continue to push me to grow further and change.

I’m on a mission to change the game of business for women business owners who want it all, are passionate about their work, and truly believe that energetic alignment is at the core of success.
The traditional business model, designed by men, often leads us to think that their strategies will work for us. However, men and women are inherently different. So why are we still applying the same methods in business when our instincts call for alignment?
A masculine energetic approach to business often leaves us feeling disconnected from our true selves, overworked, and ultimately burned out.

Do you have any big plans?

Currently, we’re focused on building out our services to help more women in business in their different stages of business ownership. We are aligning more and more into a holistic female-centered approach and are bringing in more experts who share those same values.
We have some more in-person events planned, and our long-term goal is to host a retreat for female business owners centered around our holistic approach to business.
