Exploring Life & Business with Randy Harris of Elite Tint Solutions LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randy Harris.

Hi Randy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve been in the window tinting industry for over 20 years. What started as a skill quickly turned into a passion—and that passion led me to build something of my own.

For the past 10 years, I’ve been serving the Lowcountry, working with some of the top dealerships in the area and handling high-volume work that taught me the value of speed, precision, and consistency.

Over time, I saw a gap in the market for premium, customer-focused service—not just quick installs, but quality work that stands out. That’s what inspired me to launch Elite Tint Solutions. Today, I’m proud to offer both residential and commercial window film solutions with the same level of care and expertise I’ve developed throughout my career.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth road—but every bump taught me something. Early on, it was all about learning how to keep up with volume without sacrificing quality. Working in dealerships meant fast-paced days, long hours, and constantly adapting to different vehicles and expectations.

Starting my own business brought a whole new set of challenges—building a client base from scratch, balancing the hands-on work with the behind-the-scenes operations, and making sure every job upheld the standard I built my reputation on.

There were slow seasons, tough decisions, and moments where quitting might have seemed easier. But the drive to create something lasting—and to provide a premium experience people could count on is what has kept me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of Elite Tint Solutions LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Elite Tint Solutions really started with one simple idea: do the job right, treat people well, and let the work speak for itself.

I’ve been tinting for over 20 years, and after spending a decade in the Lowcountry working with dealerships and high-volume clients, I realized there was room for something more, something better. I wanted to create a business that wasn’t just fast, but flawless. A place where people could trust the quality, know they were getting the best materials, and feel good about their experience from start to finish.

We specialize in automotive, residential, and commercial window tinting. But what we really do is help people protect what matters—whether it’s keeping your car cool, giving your home more privacy, protecting your furniture, art, and furniture from uv which causes fading or cutting down on glare in your workspace.

What sets us apart is the attention to detail and how much pride we take in the work. We’re not rushing through jobs just to move on to the next—we’re showing up, doing clean installs, and making sure every customer walks away impressed.

I’m proud that people know our name not because we shout the loudest—but because they’ve seen the quality and told their friends. That’s the kind of brand I wanted to build.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about the Lowcountry is the sense of community. It’s the kind of place where people still value relationships, word-of-mouth matters, and if you do good work, people remember you. There’s a pride here—in our culture, our businesses, our way of life—and it shows. Plus, let’s be honest… you can’t beat the views or the food.

What I like least? Honestly, it’s the rapid growth without always having the infrastructure to keep up. Traffic can be rough, and sometimes it feels like the charm that makes the Lowcountry special is getting a little crowded out. But at the end of the day, it’s still home—and it’s worth investing in and improving where we can.
