Exploring Life & Business with Margaux Swearingen of Margaux’s Corner LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Margaux Swearingen.

Hi Margaux, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into this work & field has been a wild one. Before COVID, I was fully immersed in the corporate world, chasing the idea of a “safe” life. But on the other side of the pandemic, I realized just how much I was doing that didn’t feel good—it was draining me, and I hadn’t stopped to ask myself what I truly wanted. Was the safe path the only path? What would actually make me feel excited to wake up in the morning?

I’ve always been drawn to the mystical—witchcraft, astrology, energy work, and the unseen connections that weave through our lives. With more time on my hands, I dove into understanding energy on a deeper level, exploring Human Design, Gene Keys, and Astrology on a whole new level. I started recognizing patterns in my own life—how I had been living out of alignment with my natural energy, carrying inherited trauma, and making choices that didn’t serve me. Once I understood it on paper, the real challenge was putting it into practice.

After eight years in my corporate job, I finally took the leap, leaving behind burnout and exhaustion to embrace a slower, more intentional way of living. In that stillness, I found what I had been searching for—myself and my magic. As my spiritual practice deepened, people naturally gravitated toward me for guidance, and what started as personal exploration became a calling. I began reading natal charts, offering intuitive insights, and expanding into energy work and crystal healing.

Then, during a hot summer at the Farmer’s Market with my fiancé, inspiration struck—I could help people tap into their magic in a tangible way, through Potions. Hydrating, intentional beverages made with fresh, local ingredients became an extension of my work. What began as a passion project evolved into Margaux’s Corner, a business dedicated to helping people reconnect with themselves through energy, intention, and the natural world.

Now, I guide clients in understanding their own energy through astrology, human design, crystal healing, and divination. I work within the collective to show that magic and energy are worth paying attention to—and that they’re anything but taboo. It’s been a journey of deep transformation, and I’m grateful every day that I get to help others rediscover their own magic.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not! Growth is rarely a smooth road, and my journey has been no exception. Leaving the corporate world after eight years was terrifying—especially when I was sick, burnt out, and severely depressed. I had spent so long building what I thought was a “secure” life, only to realize that security means nothing if it costs you your well-being. The burnout I experienced wasn’t just mental—it was physical. My body quite literally forced me to slow down, and recovering from that was a challenge in itself.

Then came the uncertainty of stepping into entrepreneurship. I knew I was meant to do this work, but that didn’t mean I instantly knew how to turn it into a business. I struggled with visibility, imposter syndrome, and the pressure of making things ‘perfect’ before putting them out into the world—funny enough, all challenges I could see coming just by examining my chart. I had to learn to trust myself, take messy action, and allow my work to evolve naturally rather than forcing it into a rigid plan.

There were also financial hurdles. While my corporate job was in marketing and largely commission-based, transitioning from a steady paycheck to building my own income was a major adjustment. Some days, it felt like no one was paying attention. Other days, I’d get a wave of validation that reminded me I was exactly where I needed to be. Over time, word-of-mouth referrals grew, and I started attracting clients who truly resonated with my work.

One of the biggest lessons has been learning to move with my energy rather than against it. As a Projector in Human Design, I’m not meant to hustle nonstop, and trying to do so only led to more burnout. Honoring my natural rhythm and trusting that the right opportunities will find me has been a huge shift—one that has proven alignment is real. Now, I get to live in the flow I’ve always craved while building an empire that reflects the vision I’ve always held.

So no, the road hasn’t been smooth, but every struggle has shaped me into the person I am today. I wouldn’t change a thing because every challenge led me to a life that finally feels like mine. Without the pain, struggles, and obstacles we overcome, we could never truly appreciate the peace, love, and abundance that follows.

As you know, we’re big fans of Margaux’s Corner LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Margaux’s Corner is all about helping people reconnect with themselves by understanding their own energy—their magic. I offer a unique blend of Astrology, Human Design, crystal healing, divination, and intuitive guidance to help clients tap into their natural flow and align with their true essence. My work is about making the mystical accessible—taking the ‘woo-woo’ taboo out of it and grounding it in real, practical ways that people can integrate into their daily lives. At the end of the day, we are all energy, which means we are all part of the magic. Why not embrace it?

I specialize in helping people understand their cosmic blueprint—who they are at their core and how they can work with their energy rather than against it. My offerings include Cosmic Blueprint Coaching, where I break down a client’s astrology and Human Design in a way that’s deeply personal and actionable, helping them see their chart in a new light and offering insight into how they can align more fully with what they desire. I also offer Crystal Healing sessions to help clear and realign energy, intuitive readings, and divination for a quick cosmic check-in. Additionally, I sell my seasonal Potion line at local farmers’ markets—hydrating, fruit-based beverages infused with energy and intention.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just give people information—I guide them in embodying it, in actually living the shifts they want to see. There’s a difference between knowing your astrology chart and living in alignment with it, and that’s where my work shines. I help clients integrate their cosmic and energetic wisdom in ways that feel natural, accessible, and empowering. I also bridge the gap between the mystical and the everyday, making these practices feel less intimidating and more like an extension of who we already are.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the community and trust I’ve built. People come to me not just for insight but for a deeper understanding of themselves. I want readers to know that Margaux’s Corner is a space of discovery, alignment, and magic—a place where they can learn to trust themselves, their intuition, and the unseen energy that connects us all. Whether through a reading, an energy session, or something as simple as sipping one of my potions, my goal is to help people remember their own magic.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Myrtle Beach is the community—it’s growing rapidly and becoming more diverse each year. I love the energy of living in a coastal town, and being near the beach has its own special magic. It’s exciting to see how quickly the area is expanding, and there’s so much potential for it to flourish even more in the coming years. I’ve been here since 2010 when I moved to CCU as a freshman, and wow, has the Grand Strand changed! I truly enjoy being a part of that growth and feeling like there’s always something new happening.

On the flip side, what I would love to see more of is a better system for getting the word out about all the amazing things happening in the area. There’s so much going on—events, local businesses, community projects—but sometimes it feels like there’s no easy way to spread the word or create that buzz that brings people together. I wish there was a way to help these things gain more visibility, so the community can connect even more. The more people know about these happenings, the more they show up, and the more participation we get, the more events can happen. The locals here really crave a sense of village, and sometimes it feels like an uphill battle to create one.
