Today we’d like to introduce you to Jesse Gillespie.
Hi Jesse, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey as a massage therapist began in 2010 when I graduated from the massage therapy program at Greenville Technical College (may it rest in peace). From the very beginning, I dreamed of starting my own practice. I would sketch logos, draft business plans, and imagine a future where I could offer something truly healing and unique.
After graduating, I left my job in pet retail and began working at a well-known national spa. Over the next 14 years, I had the opportunity to serve and connect with countless clients, developing my technical skills and forming lifelong connections along the way.
But the dream of creating something of my own never faded. That quiet inner calling to build a business rooted in my values, focused on comfort, tranquility, and a touch of spirituality, continued to grow. Eventually, I took a leap of faith and launched The Mystic Touch, a mobile massage practice dedicated to true relaxation, therapeutic muscle work, and spiritual support that helps clients feel seen, restored, and empowered.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have to admit, the road has been fairly smooth; one paved with loyal clients, hard work, and determination. The most challenging part came in the beginning. Leaving the comfort and security of a corporate environment to take full responsibility for my own income was intimidating. That fear kept me in that familiar space for years. But once I finally took the leap and trusted my path, things began to unfold with surprising ease. I’m deeply grateful for the support I’ve received and for how aligned the journey has been so far.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Mystic Touch?
The Mystic Touch is a mobile massage practice that believes healing should be accessible in the comfort of your own space. I bring the entire spa to you.
I specialize in customized massage sessions that not only address muscular tension and chronic pain but also support emotional, energetic, and spiritual balance. Each session is tailored to the individual, blending therapeutic techniques with intuitive touch. Enhancements such as hot stones, cupping, therapeutic scraping, aromatherapy, and more are available to deepen the experience.
What sets The Mystic Touch apart is its deep sense of purpose. By bringing the work directly to my clients, I remove barriers and create a space where healing can happen on every level. This is not just massage. It is a sacred, restorative ritual that honors the whole person through presence, intention, and care. Clients come to me not only for relief from pain, but for a sense of peace, safety, and genuine healing.
I am most proud that this brand reflects who I truly am. A licensed therapist, yes, but also someone deeply rooted in spiritual practice. My approach is grounded in knowledge, intuition and integrity so that care for the whole self is possible.
I want readers to know that The Mystic Touch welcomes all walks of life and offers a safe space for anyone seeking healing, release, or reconnection with themselves. Every service is offered with dedication and intention, so each client leaves feeling deeply revived on every level.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Greenville is my hometown, and I truly love the area. The food scene is incredible, there are always great events and performances happening, and the natural beauty around here is something I really appreciate. Greenville has so much to offer, and I’ve enjoyed watching it grow over the years. What I love most is the city’s willingness to evolve. Every year, it feels like Greenville is becoming more vibrant.
If I had to name something I like the least, it would probably be the roads, especially the traffic and the condition. South Carolina is kind of famous for rough roads, and Greenville is no exception. As someone who drives a lot for work, I definitely feel the wear and tear from both the traffic and the road quality.
