Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason And Jane Willis.
Jason and Jane, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Our journey has been shaped by resilience, hard work, and a shared commitment to building something meaningful for our family and our community.
Jason spent over 25 years in the hospice field, working his way up to a Vice President role while raising six children and pursuing a double master’s degree. His career was built on compassion, leadership, and education—helping people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. Jane’s path was no less challenging. She worked full-time while supporting four children and completing nursing school, balancing family responsibilities with determination and strength. Both of us saw firsthand how the healthcare field has changed dramatically over the years, and we began to feel called toward a new chapter—one where we could create something of our own.
Together, we decided to take the skills we had developed—Jason’s leadership and education, and Jane’s background as a former Director of Photography, Aesthetics, and Advertising—and pour them into a business that reflected our values. We wanted to move away from the constraints of corporate America and instead build a place grounded in family values, where integrity and people still count.
That vision became Alliance Qwik Pack & Ship. From day one, our mission has been simple: to serve the community, solve problems, and alleviate the stress that so many small business owners and everyday families face. Whether it’s shipping, printing, photography, or business services, our goal is to make life easier for our neighbors while creating a welcoming space built on trust.
Our story is one of reinvention—transforming years of professional experience and personal trials into a business rooted in service, care, and community. And while the work is demanding, it’s deeply rewarding. For us, this isn’t just about running a business—it’s about giving back, building connections, and showing that integrity, family, and hard work are still the foundations of success.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all—it’s been a road marked with both challenges and resilience. Balancing demanding careers with raising children was never easy. Jason worked long hours in hospice leadership while pursuing two master’s degrees and supporting six kids. Jane worked full time while raising four children and pushing through nursing school, all while keeping her family moving forward. Those years taught us endurance, sacrifice, and what really matters.
When we decided to start our own business, it meant stepping into a whole new level of risk. Jason took the leap to run the business full time, while Jane continued working full time to help keep our family stable during those critical early months. We’re still in our first year, learning and adapting every day. There have been moments of financial strain, doubts about whether we could make it work, and the constant challenge of building trust in the community while competing with large corporate systems.
But every obstacle has become a lesson. Those struggles shaped our values and gave us the courage to create Alliance Qwik Pack & Ship as a business rooted in integrity, service, and community. The road has been anything but smooth—but it’s been worth every step, and we’re excited to keep growing.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Alliance Qwik Pack & Ship is more than just a shipping store — we’ve built it to be a true one-stop community hub. We provide all the major carriers under one roof — FedEx, UPS, USPS, and IPS for international shipping — so our customers never have to guess where to go. But shipping is only the beginning. We also offer notary services, passport photos, ink fingerprinting, private mailbox rentals, virtual mailboxes, printing, document shredding, and professional packing. On top of that, we’ve added a gift wrapping service for both corporate and personal clients.
What makes us different is the personal touch and flexibility we bring. Unlike large corporate shipping centers, we know our customers by name, and we’re invested in helping local small businesses succeed. We designed our store around the idea of removing stress — whether that means helping a family get important documents notarized, shipping a care package to a loved one, or supporting an entrepreneur with professional printing and mail solutions.
Inside Alliance Qwik Pack & Ship, we also operate Jane Willis Photography, a professional studio offering corporate headshots, influencer portraits, comp cards for actors and models, family photography, and creative sessions. Jane brings decades of experience as a former Director of Photography and Aesthetics, blending technical expertise with an artistic eye.
Brand-wise, we’re most proud that we’ve been able to create something rooted in integrity, service, and family values. We want your readers to know that when you walk into Alliance Qwik Pack & Ship, you’re not just getting a transaction — you’re getting a team that cares about solving problems, lightening your load, and delivering with excellence every time.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The biggest advice we can give is to expect challenges and not be afraid of them. Nothing worthwhile comes easy, and building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be moments of doubt, financial strain, and long nights where you question if it’s worth it — but those are also the moments where you grow the most.
We’d also say: don’t try to do it all alone. Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, lean on your community, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We’ve learned that integrity, consistency, and treating people the right way are more valuable than any shortcut.
If we could go back, we’d remind ourselves that you don’t have to have it all figured out on day one. Start with a clear purpose, take small steps every day, and be willing to adapt. Most importantly, keep your values at the center of everything you do. For us, that means family, service, and community. When your “why” is strong, it will carry you through the hard days and make the victories that much sweeter.
