Hi Cassidy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Starting Surfs Pup, I had a small budget and a whole lot of faith. I took a leap and put everything I had into building the company from the ground up. In the beginning, I spent countless days and nights working around the clock—grooming during the day and staying late into the night constructing and fixing things, learning more about the business, and making sure every client and their grooming baby was well taken care of.
There were plenty of obstacles along the way, and even today, there are still nights that run late. But I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. Building a business has required persistence, faith, and a willingness to continue learning and improving every step of the way. Always persevering and staying disciplined to growth.
At Surfs Pup, my focus has always been on our clients and their pets—making sure they receive the best care possible. As our Surfs Pup family continues to grow, so does our commitment to improving, working hard, and serving our community with the same heart, passion, and dedication that started it all.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As mentioned before, there have been many late nights. Putting together, building, and rebuilding all sorts of things. I’ve replaced items and systems. I’ve learned to navigate a whole set of skills involving social media and technology—areas I definitely wasn’t very tech-savvy in before. Along the way, I’ve also learned so much from my clients and my employees.
It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding—especially knowing that I’ve had the opportunity to connect with and impact my community and the people around me.

We offer a wide variety of grooming services from desheds and nail trims to full haircut grooming. We pride oursleves on our ability to create a specific plan for every pup, making sure their needs are fully met, along with our human clients as well. I aim to keep a clean, safe, and full of love environment for all my clients furry and human!
What does success mean to you?
I define success as the ability to stay disciplined and perservering through any hardship. Keeping faith and continuing to always improve.
