Daily Inspiration: Meet Travis Black

Today we’d like to introduce you to Travis Black.

Hi Travis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Matthews,NC. I come from generations of blue collar workers and farmers. Been in construction since I graduated high school. Specifically remodeling for almost ten years. I’ve always dreamt of being my own boss and controlling each aspect of the customers experience. It was hard to watch many many customers be let down with their experience over the years working for other companies. So I watched and listened to each customer I came across. Curating my own recipe for becoming a successful remodeling company. One that strives to go to any length in order to provide the best quality, best price, and overall experience for each customer. No matter what. Only a month after my first daughter was born I decided I couldn’t wait any longer. I wanted to provide our family with more opportunity and growth. So I opened Elevated Interiors. We typically focus on bathroom remodeling. Whether you want a new walk in shower/tub or you want to start from scratch and re do your entire bathroom. Flooring/painting/vanities/light fixtures,etc.
although we are small I believe we are making a significant impact in the Fort Mill area. The proof is in the reviews! We are striving to become Fort Mill’s go to bathroom remodeling company. Forming personal relationship with each of our customers, and giving them the best price possible, sets us apart from anyone in the Charlotte & surrounding area.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say the biggest struggle has been consistency. Without the means to advertise as much as our competitors, we are still struggling to reach as many folks as we would like.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I have worked for the majority of big name bathroom remodeling companies over the past 7 years. Listening very closely to each customers feedback. What the went right and in most cases what frustrated the customers. The number one complaint I’ve heard of the years was lack of communication between company and customer. Being a smaller business allows me to provide exceptional customer service to each and every homeowner i have the pleasure of serving. I believe it is what sets us apart from the rest. Constant communication and just plain listening with intent allows us to achieve 100% satisfaction each project we take on.

What are your plans for the future?
Our goal is to be Fort Mill and surrounding areas go to bathroom remodeling company. We have recently partner with two new manufactures in order to give or customers more product options.
