Daily Inspiration: Meet Teagan Litten

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teagan Litten

Hi Teagan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up in South London as the middle child between two brothers, and I had a happy, lively childhood. In 2008, my family moved to Virginia, and since then, I’ve been hopping between different states across the U.S. My dad was always behind the camera, documenting everything, which sparked my own passion for filming. I started posting on YouTube at a young age, sharing everything from hamster DIY projects to homemade music videos. Oversharing has always come naturally to me—I love the idea of creating a digital diary to look back on.

In high school, I was scouted by a modeling agency called DirectionsUSA, which led to incredible opportunities shooting for amazing brands. I later attended the College of Charleston, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, graduating early in 2023. Since then, I’ve been traveling full-time, volunteering in different countries through Worldpackers, and documenting it all through vlogs.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t think anyone has it easy in life, but I truly believe obstacles make you stronger. The first real challenge I faced was my parents’ divorce, which happened right after we moved to the US. At the time, it was difficult to navigate such a big life change, but looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Both of my parents are now happily remarried, and I’ve gained even more love and support from the families we’ve built.

More recently, I experienced loss for the first time when I lost both my best friend and my nana within the same month. Nothing could have prepared me for the pain of losing them—it’s a kind of heartbreak that lingers, and I find myself yearning to see them again every day. But through that grief, I’ve learned to cherish every moment and carry their love with me in everything I do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’d say my passion for content creation and my ability to put myself out there is what I’m most proud of. I’ve been making and posting long-form YouTube videos for years, and more recently, I’ve shifted my focus to short-form content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Looking ahead, I hope to build a career managing social media accounts or creating content for a brand. I love every part of the process—filming, editing, and bringing creative ideas to life. There’s something so rewarding about storytelling through digital media, and I’m excited to see where this passion takes me!

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned from growing up online is the importance of empathy. It’s so easy for people to throw out hurtful comments, forgetting that there’s a real person on the other side of the screen. Too often, negativity spreads faster than kindness, and social media, which has the potential to be a space for connection and inspiration, turns into a place of judgment.

I’ve seen how quickly people can be torn down—sometimes for mistakes they’ve learned from, other times for things entirely out of their control. But I believe in growth, in second chances, and in the idea that no one should be defined by a single moment. If we approached social media with more understanding, more grace, and more love, it could be a space where people feel safe to learn, evolve, and truly be themselves.
