Today we’d like to introduce you to Riley & Ariane Anderson.
Hi Riley & Ariane, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Our business started when we were 4 and 7. We used to always go in our moms make up for her lip gloss. One day she suggested we make our own. Now we’re 11 and 15. With our own line of lip gloss and lotion products.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road has been pretty good for how long we’ve had our business and how much we have going on. So far, we’ve been awarded with the Kid entrepreneur of the year award back in 2023. Things kind of slowed down because we started getting more involved with school and church activities. We’ve started to pick back up with business.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We’re sisters! Riley takes on more of the the business/ financial side, she’s so organized and good with math and Ariane is like the spokesperson for our business, she’s great with customers. We are both creative, so it’s always fun to come up with different names for our lotions and lip gloss!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk can be scary. But if you don’t take risks you will never know what it’s like to try something and be good at it or to learn what you can do better if something doesn’t go right.
