Daily Inspiration: Meet Narcisa Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Narcisa Miller.

Hi Narcisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NYC the youngest of three. I like to say I’m the last spiciest addition to the first-generation American bunch. My parents are both from Central America, my father from Panama and my mother from Honduras. Growing up in a Latin-American home added to my flare and spice for life. Our home was the epitome of vibrancy, fun, and love. Much of the woman I am today comes from the love and energy I was given and surrounded by. My parents nurtured my creativity and allowed me the freedom to explore. One thing remained the same my love for fashion, posing for the camera, dance, and animals. Who knew that years later I’d be known for my self-titled blog and social media presence.!? Only God and that’s a fact!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been struggles along this journey from being a full-time blogger to just the challenges I face in everyday life. I’ve faced many struggles but one helped capitulated me to where I am today. It made me self-reflect and dig deeper into the core of who I am. That struggle birthed my rebrand and my motto to Grow and Glow!! I made it my decision and daily confession to be BETTER, not BITTER! I’m happy to say that I truly am BETTER mentally, physically, and spiritually. Struggles strengthen us!!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My self-titled blog, Narcisa Maura has made itself known both locally and nationally. Blogging has allowed me the opportunity to work with brands I only dreamed of. I’ve been a long-term partner for Fabletics and Shoedazzle. Most recently I completed a 6 months campaign with Google. Blogging has opened so many doors for me over the past few years. What makes me different is my personality, creative flair, optimistic outlook, and willingness to share life’s moments with the world. It’s not easy and sometimes I’ve wanted to throw in the towel but my purpose to encourage others keeps me going. Yes, we have hard times and trials but never let that hold you back! I wholeheartedly enjoy creating content and connecting with people on and off of social media. I also make it my duty to stay on top of my game and continue to go hard and blog harder!

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Moving to Charleston, SC 10 years ago was major. I did not know the impact it would have on my life but it’s one I love. Living in Charleston is like being on vacation 24/7. From the weather to the people and restaurants it’s paradise. I don’t go as much as I’d like but I love being 30 mins from the beach life. Life is truly a beach in Lowcountry of Charleston, SC
