Daily Inspiration: Meet Madeline Taylor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madeline Taylor.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, a city I’ve come to cherish. I’m a lash artist and recently began dipping my toes into the world of social media content creation. From a young age, it was clear I was headstrong, independent, and determined to march to the beat of my own drum. I’ve always thrived in environments that allow me the freedom to be fully myself, and I’ve found that’s often the best way to connect with others, too.

My path into the beauty industry fell into place naturally the moment the opportunity presented itself. I’ve been a licensed esthetician for over five years now, with most of that time spent as a lash artist. I like to say I’m cheating the system by getting paid to hang out and chat with my clients all day, but truthfully, it’s so much more than that. It’s an honor to hold space for people and witness their lives unfolding in real time. I’ve seen clients get married, start businesses, move to new cities, have babies, and grow into themselves. My chair has seen laughter, tears, and everything in between.

Social media became a natural extension of that work. As I’ve moved through my own personal seasons, each one bringing its own lessons and perspective shifts, I’ve felt called to share more openly. I’m deeply grateful for the connections I’ve made through both my work and my online presence, and I hope to keep creating spaces, both digital and in person, where people feel seen, safe, and celebrated.

At the end of the day, my dream is simple: to help make the world a softer, more loving place by leading with empathy and authenticity, and to remind people that they have permission to be exactly who they are. We get one life. We might as well make it the most honest, joyful, and meaningful version we can.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to get where I am now wasn’t exactly what I’d call easy. I spent a lot of my formative years in an environment where self-expression was discouraged, and there were pretty rigid expectations around who you were supposed to be. Because of that, I struggled with a lot of insecurity and self-doubt, especially in my teen years, that deeply shaped how I saw the world as I stepped into adulthood.

I truly believe we’re all on our own journey of self-discovery. Mine just took a little longer to unfold. As someone who’s naturally multi-faceted, it took me time to pinpoint what truly lit me up. I’ve come to celebrate the fact that I have a wide range of interests and curiosities, and instead of seeing that as indecisiveness, I now view it as a gift: a chance to keep learning about myself from every angle.

Over the years, I’ve tried out different careers and embraced countless versions of myself in the relentless pursuit of figuring out what lights my soul on fire. Through a lot of intentional self-reflection and learning to trust my inner knowing, I eventually realized that my greatest calling is simply loving people for exactly who they are, and using whatever space I’m in to make them feel seen.

Once that clicked into place, everything else started to align. I had the foundation I needed to pursue any goal with confidence and purpose.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with a concentration in ceramics and painting. Art has always been my go-to form of self-expression, and over time, I’ve come to see how that creative spirit can translate into so many different avenues. These days, I work as a lash artist which, to me, is just another form of art, only with a more unconventional medium.

My journey into content creation has opened up even more space for creative expression, and it’s given me a deeper sense of purpose than I ever expected. I wouldn’t necessarily claim to be the most technically skilled in either trade, but I’m incredibly proud of the heart I bring to both. What I believe sets me apart is the way I use my work, whether it’s lashes, content, or conversation, as a way to connect with others.

I truly believe we were all born to lean into our authenticity, and that when we do, we bring something uniquely valuable to the table. Everyone has a perspective, a story, and a spark that can’t be replicated, and I think the world is better for it.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I just want to encourage anyone reading this to start tuning into their inner knowing. It’s so easy to get caught up in expectations – what you should do, who you should be – but there’s a voice inside all of us that we’ve been conditioned to quiet. That voice knows when something is off, and it lights up with excitement when you’re aligned with what’s truly meant for you.

It’s never too late to change direction, take a leap, or try something new. Life isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about staying curious, experimenting, and embracing the journey wherever it leads.
