Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Myrick
Hi Lauren, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My earliest memory of my love for styling is creating outfits on Polyvore back in 2012/2013. Trendstylr was born in the spring of 2022 when I decided to get back into it and post my creations on TikTok, not expecting them to gain any traction. In less than a month I was at 10k TikTok followers, which made me decide to start an instagram. In no time I was gaining followers quickly on both platforms and starting receiving inquiries about personal styling. I launched my personal styling service later in 2022 and it’s crazy to see how much things have changed since then. What started as a fun hobby turned into a side-hustle and a great community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any social media journey there have been lulls in growth and times my accounts have been completely stagnant. I actually completely stopped posting in December of 2022 but received so many sweet messages asking when I would be back that I made a return to socials and haven’t looked back since.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a fashion content creator and virtual stylist. I offer everything from event styling, to every-day look-books, wardrobe revamps, and style guides. I have so much fun helping other girls find their personal style.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the countless people who have supported me from the beginning. I have clients who I’ve been styling for years now and it’s been so fun to build that community.
