Hi Jodie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a family nurse practitioner and the owner of Top Care Concierge, an integrative and concierge-based primary care practice. My journey really started during COVID—it was a time where I saw a huge gap in how patients were being cared for, especially when it came to prevention, education, and truly individualized care.
I didn’t come from a business background. I was working, going to school, and building this at the same time—long hours, a lot of sacrifice—but I had a clear vision: I wanted to create a space where patients felt heard, where we focused not just on treating disease, but optimizing health.
Top Care started from the ground up. No shortcuts, no big investors—just consistency, faith, and a lot of hard work. Over time, it evolved into what it is today: a concierge model that blends traditional medicine with integrative therapies like hormone optimization, IV therapy, and wellness-based care.
What really drives me is simple—when you know better, you do better. I believe patients deserve to understand their health, not just be told what’s ‘normal.’ That mindset has shaped everything I’ve built.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road—and I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful.
I started Top Care during COVID while working and going to school, so time, energy, and resources were all limited. There were moments where I was doing everything myself—seeing patients, handling operations, learning the business side in real time—without a traditional background in business.
One of the biggest challenges was building something from nothing. No patient base, no roadmap—just a vision. And in healthcare, stepping outside of the traditional model and into integrative and concierge care comes with its own set of skepticism and barriers.

I’m a family nurse practitioner and the owner of Top Care Concierge, where I focus on integrative and concierge-based primary care. My specialty is bridging the gap between traditional medicine and a more proactive, root-cause approach.
What I’m known for is being very thorough and very real with my patients. I take the time to educate them, explain their labs beyond just ‘normal,’ and create individualized plans that actually make sense for their lifestyle. My goal is always long-term results, not quick fixes.
What I’m most proud of is building Top Care from the ground up and creating something that truly impacts people’s lives. Seeing patients go from exhausted, frustrated, and dismissed—to feeling like themselves again—that’s everything.
What sets me apart is the level of care and access my patients receive. This is not a volume-based practice. It’s relationship-based. Patients aren’t rushed, they’re heard. And I combine clinical knowledge with real-world, practical solutions.
At the end of the day, I always say—health is wealth and knowledge is key. And I’ve built my entire practice around that philosophy.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
“I would say the most important characteristic behind my success is resilience—and honestly, a little bit of stubbornness.
Growing up, my dad used to call me ‘mule-head’ because once I set my mind to something, I wasn’t backing down. At the time it was just a nickname—but looking back, it really shaped who I am.
Building a business, especially in healthcare, comes with a lot of challenges, long hours, and moments where it would be easier to quit or take a safer path. But I’ve always had that mindset to keep going, figure it out, and push through.
That persistence—combined with a genuine passion for helping people—has been one of the biggest drivers of my success.
