Today we’d like to introduce you to Jansen Arnold
Jansen, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey to founding COAH Run Co. is deeply rooted in Faith and a Lifelong LOVE for running. With over 27 years of experience as a runner, from Triathlons to Marathons-including a 2:49:04 finish at the 2022 Boston Marathon-running has always been more than just a sport to me. It’s been a place of discipline, perseverance and spiritual connection.
For over a decade, I have also coached runners of all ages, helping them transform their fitness and reach new goals. Through coaching and personal experience, I saw how running paralleled my Faith, both requiring endurance, purpose and the ability to push forward even when the path is difficult. Inspired by Matthew 5:13-14, I envisioned a brand that would reflect these values.
COAH Run Co. was born out of a vision. A Christian-based performance running brand that encourages athletes to be the “Salt of the Earth” and a “City on a Hill.” The theme “Get Salty” became central, representing both the coastal lifestyle, sweating on runs and the biblical call to stand out and make an impact. With COAH Run Co., we blend the LOVE for running and Faith, creating high quality gear designed for those who run with purpose, both on the ROAD and in LIFE.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. Running has always been a passion, but like anything worthwhile, it hasn’t always been smooth. There have been injuries, setbacks, and times when motivation was low. Coaching and starting COAH Run Co. came with its own challenges too—figuring out how to grow a brand, balancing time between work, family, training, and trusting that this vision was something God placed on my heart for a reason. But just like in running, the hard moments are where growth happens. My faith has played a huge role in keeping me focused and reminding me why I started in the first place. The journey hasn’t been easy, but that’s what makes it meaningful.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My career in Medical Device Sales has been built on persistence, adaptability, and a deep understanding of both business and human connection. With over a decade of success in the industry, he learned how to navigate complex sales cycles, build strong relationships, and provide solutions that truly impact people’s lives.
These same skills translated directly into entrepreneurship when he founded COAH Run Co. Just like in sales, building a brand required resilience, strategic thinking, and the ability to handle rejection and uncertainty. My experience in Medical Device Sales taught me the importance of delivering value, understanding customer needs, and staying committed to a long-term vision, all essential in launching and growing a business.
I have combined my passion for performance, problem-solving, and faith, using my expertise to not just sell products, but to create something that inspires and serves a greater purpose.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
First and foremost, stay rooted in your ‘why.’ Starting a business isn’t easy, and there will be challenges along the way. If you don’t have a clear purpose driving you, it’s easy to get discouraged. For me, COAH Run Co. was about faith, running, and building something meaningful, so even when things get tough, I have reasons to keep going.
Second, be patient and consistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Just like in running, progress comes from showing up every day, putting in the work, and trusting the process.
Third, don’t be afraid to take risks and make mistakes. You’ll learn as you go, and perfection isn’t the goal—growth is.
And finally, trust God in the process. If you believe your business is part of a bigger purpose, lean into that faith. doors will open, lessons will be learned, and the journey will shape you in ways you never expected.
