Hi Corey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started the love for beauty at the age of thirteen. Watching my nana apply cosmetics as a young boy and seeing how it enhanced her natural beauty inspired me to want to know more. As the years went on, I dreamt of creating my own cosmetic line. At the age of eighteen, I landed my first cosmetic job at an Estee Lauder counter. From there I continued my cosmetic journey for twelve years in various positions. In 2021, I went to nursing school and earned my associate of science in nursing. From there I continued my education in 2023, earning my Bachelor of Science in nursing. Now, Aristotle Cosmetics is a brand where science meets beauty. I want every individual to feel and see a difference when wearing Aristotle Cosmetics. My motto is “Why be pretty when you can be gorgeous?”
Aristotle Cosmetics is about philosophy meets physics of color. Blending modern scientific principles to create unique and effective products. This innovative approach recognizes cosmetics not merely as superficial enhancements but as extensions of a deeper philosophical engagement with aesthetics and well-being, akin to Aristotle’s holistic view of knowledge. Just as Aristotle emphasized the cultivation of the whole person, Aristotle Cosmetics endeavors to nurture both external beauty and internal harmony through formulations that respect the intricate relationship between human physiology and environmental factors.

Entering the lab as a founder even with a background in science is a humbling realization of how little one knows about the industrial reality of manufacturing. You start with a vision of a specific texture or a clinical efficacy profile, but you quickly learn that the “lab language” is a dialect of trade-offs.
There is a steep, sometimes frustrating, education in understanding that an ingredient that looks perfect on paper can fail the stability test or that a packaging choice you’ve fallen in love with will clash with the preservative system required to keep your formula shelf-stable. You aren’t just formulating products; you are learning how to negotiate with chemistry and logistics simultaneously. There were undoubtedly days where the gap between your vision and the lab’s technical constraints felt like an insurmountable wall, requiring you to pivot your expectations without compromising the soul of the brand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I currently balance a full-time career as a critical care nurse with my role as the founder and CEO of Aristotle Cosmetics. In the hospital, I specialize in high-acuity care, managing everything from EKG interpretation to complex wound management and sepsis protocols. My professional identity is deeply rooted in a nurturing, patient-first philosophy. I’ve always been someone who prioritizes the well-being of others above my own, a trait that directly informs how I approach skincare formulation.
I am incredibly proud of earning my BSN and the fact that I am currently pursuing my master’s degree; these academic milestones have been the foundation for the clinical rigor I bring to everything I do.
What I believe truly sets me apart is my drive. Operating in two high-pressure worlds, the bedside and the studio, isn’t easy, but I thrive on the challenge of bridging the gap between clinical science and luxury. I’m not just building a brand; I’m applying the same level of precision and care to skincare that I do to my patients, ensuring that everything I put my name on has the research and the heart to back it up.”
