Daily Inspiration: Meet Chris Bizor

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Bizor

Hi Chris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey as a sneaker artist about six years ago when I came across a YouTube video of a guy painting sneakers and talking about the process he goes through to complete his work. After watching the video, I thought I could do the same thing. I then made the step to purchase my first order of supplies needed to customize my first pair of sneakers. Once my supplies arrived, I took an old pair of Polo tennis shoes, gave them a fresh new coat of paint, and personalized them. Once I had completed that pair of sneakers, I never looked back.

Over the years, I have used this hobby to decompress from my daily work as an Officer in the U.S. Army. After serving my country for almost two decades and being deployed multiple times, this form of expression has been an excellent way to share my love of creating with my community.

Since then, I have explored and expanded the types of materials or products I customize and paint. My catalog now includes all kinds of sneakers, shoes, skateboard decks, denim jean jackets, motorcycle boots, bags, and combat jungle boots.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey has not always been smooth. Art is a creative journey, and you may not always know exactly how you want to proceed or what inspires you. During those times, I would allow the art to speak for itself and use it as a way to decompress from my full-time career.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a custom sneaker artist who merges meticulous hand painting and masterful airbrushing to breathe new life into everyday items. From sneakers and combat boots to motorcycle boots, skateboards, and jackets, I employ a rich palette of colors and various techniques to create outstanding pieces. Each design is a testament to my dedication and creativity, ensuring that no two pieces are identical. I add intricate details and personalized touches using hand painting, while airbrushing allows for smooth gradients and dynamic visuals.

What sets me apart is my commitment to making art that is not just for display but also functional and wearable. The result is a collection of bespoke items that reflect individual personalities and stories, turning every step or ride into a canvas of self-expression.

Whether it’s a pair of sneakers that tell a story or a jacket that makes a statement, my creations fuse art and fashion. They embody the belief that style should be as unique as the person wearing it. With a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail, I continue to push the boundaries of what wearable art can be.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Happiness, for me, is multifaceted and comes from the simple joys of life. It’s spending quality time with my family, whether we’re enjoying a sunny day at the beach, discovering the hidden gems of Columbia, or just being together at home. It’s the sense of fulfillment I get when I finish a commission and see the delight in my client’s eyes, knowing that my art resonates with them. And it’s the pure bliss of creating, losing myself in the process, and watching my visions come to life. These moments bring me the most profound joy and make life truly meaningful.
