Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyriq Mcneil
Hi Tyriq, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Well as I came back home when I staying in Virginia. I was making music and wanted to learn to make my own music video so I came across an online school name First Institute. Since I started and completed the the 10 month program wanted to make music video was out the picture and God had another plan in minded, which was starting my own video production company. Started my LLC January 4 and didn’t stop since then.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been a little bit of both smooth and rocky all in one. Some month is when business going the way it’s supposed to with me getting clients and some months it just really slow with no one coming to us at all. But God always come through and gave us the chance to start a podcast where I can create our own opportunities for ourselves and businesses which allows me to work on skills needed in my business which is one of them communication skills.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in video production creating stunning videos for clients for their brands whether it’s commercial work or social media content and my documentary work as well. I’m most proud of how much I’m progressing within the business and not stopping when we have to slow down because there is always something to do. I believe what sets me apart from others is how I make my clients feel after the result making them feel good and making them smile and having a good time on shooting day. Also, bringing all my client’s visions to life even if their vision is not clear enough.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
So far the major risk I would say that I have taken is paying for ads because when you pay for ads sometimes you don’t know 100% for sure if the ads gonna work in your favor but I would say I was happy when I took the risk because if you wanted to grow within businesses you have to risks if you don’t you gonna be in the same position you were before. Risk is much needed in business you have to take that chance and bet it all on you and believe and have faith that It’s going to work.
