Hi Sheniqua, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Like most I ran from my gift for a long time. I wasn’t unsure of my talent but I was afraid of failing. I’ve always known I had a purpose in the beauty industry. Weather it was styling behind the chair or being in the chair as one of the models. I knew there was purpose for me in both. The issue was just starting. I’ve now been a professional hair stylist for 10 years and a model for 3 years. As a hairstylist I’m located at TLC Salon and Suites and I specialize in healthy natural hair. As a Plus size or Curvy Model my focus is commercial, print and runway modeling. Though it took a minute for modeling to get started it was definitely worth the preparation and everyday I’m able to inspire and in courage other women that no matter your shape, size, or color we all possess a unique and rear beauty and it starts from within.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road is never easy, but it’s always worth traveling. Things always happen in life especially when you’re walking in your purpose. Me myself I struggled with health issues, and grief. Grief had to be the hardest thing for me. I lost my father and grandmother, a year apart from each other, but with god and a strong family and support system I made it through.

I am a professional hair stylist in the beauty industry. “Sheniqly Styled” which is my brand name. I specialize in healthy natural hair. I inform all my clients that healthy hair is a lifestyle and the best thing you can do and give your hair Is consistency. I offer services in locs, twist and natural hair braids and I’m well known for my Silkening services. I’m so proud of how my business is growing and I’m exiting see what’s next
