Today we’d like to introduce you to Ke Banks.
Hi Ke, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in a small town called Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It’s a place that didn’t offer many opportunities. There was a lot of violence, a heaviness in the environment, and not many visible ways out.
After surviving domestic violence for nearly nine years, I made the decision to completely break free and start over. I moved South and began rebuilding my life, brick by brick, with no real roadmap or comfort to lean on. That transition was far from easy. I fell into a deep depression, and for a while, I was just trying to find myself again.
But in the middle of that storm, I experienced a real calling pulling me back to what I’ve always naturally done- creative expression through writing and storytelling. That’s where everything shifted for me. I realized I could use what I had been through and turn it into something powerful.
Today, I am in a season of creation. I am using my voice, my writing, and my lived experiences to turn pain into productivity, purpose, and praise.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Anything that has purpose and meaning rarely is. I’ve often chosen the road less traveled, and that naturally comes with its own set of potholes, detours, and unexpected challenges.
A lot of my struggles have been internal just as much as external. I can be my own biggest critic, and learning how to quiet that voice and keep going has been a journey in itself. On the outside, relocating across the map and starting over in a place where I didn’t know anyone came with its own challenges- especially trying to break into an industry and build connections from scratch.
But through it all, I’ve learned that determination and perseverance have to lead. Even when things feel uncertain or uncomfortable, I remind myself why I started and keep moving forward.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a rising actress, filmmaker, and most importantly, a creative writer and storyteller. I specialize in developing series and films that are rooted in real life lessons, emotionally honest, relatable, and often reveal something the audience didn’t realize they needed to see or feel. To me, storytelling is more than entertainment; it’s reflection, healing, and perspective.
I am known for my first vertical series on YouTube, Manor Tales of the Veiled: The Inheritance. At its core, the series follows a married woman who has lost her mother, and in many ways, herself. She has no interest in the rumored inheritance left behind, but as the story unfolds, she is forced to navigate betrayal from those closest to her, uncover family secrets, and ultimately rediscover her voice and identity.
What I am most proud of is my ability to take vision from concept to completion. I genuinely enjoy the process of building something from idea and turning it into something tangible and impactful. I’m also proud of my resilience- my willingness to keep creating even when the path feels unclear or the outcome is uncertain.
My authenticity is what sets me apart from others. I stay true to myself in my work and outside of it. I’m not driven by trends or what’s popular at the moment. I create from a place of truth, intention, and purpose, and I think that honesty is what allows my work to connect with people on a deeper level
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
People can work with me through acting opportunities, collaborative writing and film projects, or creative partnership where storytelling is at the center. I’m always open to connecting with directors, producers, writers, and creatives who are interested in meaningful, character-driven work that is rooted in truth and emotion. I also collaborate on developing concepts, whether that’s series, films, photography, or digital storytelling formats. I am a hands on creative so I enjoy being involved from the early stages all the way through production and execution.
In terms of support, the biggest way people can support me is by engaging with my work- watching, sharing, and amplifying it. Support also comes through genuine connections, referrals, and opportunities to continue growing in this space. It’s really all about alignment, and working with those who truly value intentional storytelling and bringing powerful narratives to life.
