Hi Juls, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
It’s been a long 11 years, with the first 5 years being a hobby. The best decision I ever made was to go full time into the industry. I get to meet so many people, see so many beautiful moments and have fun while I’m doing it. I moved to the Charleston area 1.5 year ago and didn’t skip a beat. This city welcomed me with open arms, the best feeling ever!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been a little bumpy at times but nothing too heavy to handle. I have learned over the years how to value myself and my skill, which luckily wasn’t met with any negativity from my clients but I know other professionals have experienced different. It’s taken hard work over the years to perfect the balance between work and life but I have mastered that balance and it is AMAZING.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Charleston wedding photographer who is moving into the 6 figure, high-end wedding industry. I have been met with so much respect and appreciation since I moved to the area and it has catapulted me into a realm of endless opportunities. I service couples mostly by doing couples sessions, engagements and weddings but I do family portraits as well. I’m proud of how my business has doubled in size and income since we moved here. I can only imagine it’s because of the experience I give my clients from the beginning of onboarding to their big day, they are the most important! Like a lot of people, I value effective communication and outstanding customer service so I strive to incorporate that into my workflow. I believe that, paired with my incredible skill, sets me apart from most.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I believe that trust matters the most. I want my clients to feel at ease and confident in my ability to do my job for them and do it well. The things I believe build that trust is a presence on social media, consistent edits, conversation, communicating the steps of the process, underpromising and over delivering.
