Conversations with Hansen of Bumpandfuzzies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hansen.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started with a simple passion for creating natural products that people could feel good about using. I wanted to make skincare products with ingredients I trusted, so I began handcrafting soaps in small batches using nourishing oils like olive oil, coconut oil, and palm oil. As I learned more and saw how much people appreciated quality, handmade products, I continued expanding my line.

Today, I own Bumpandfuzzies, where I create all-natural soaps, body creams, deodorants, salt scrubs, lip balms, liquid soaps, and gift items like gel candles. Every product is made with care, and my goal has always been to help people take better care of their skin without unnecessary chemicals.

Like many small business owners, I’ve faced challenges along the way, but each obstacle has taught me something valuable. I’ve continued learning about marketing, wholesale opportunities, and growing my business while staying true to the quality and values that inspired me from the beginning. My vision is to continue expanding Bumpandfuzzies, partner with retailers, and bring handcrafted, natural skincare products to even more people.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has helped me grow. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to wear many hats—product maker, marketer, website manager, photographer, bookkeeper, and customer service representative—all while continuing to learn as I go.

One of the biggest challenges has been getting my products in front of new customers. I know I have a quality product, but building brand awareness takes time, patience, and persistence. I’ve spent countless hours learning about online marketing, social media, websites, and wholesale opportunities while continuing to handcraft every product myself.

Another challenge has been balancing growth with quality. As demand increases, I want to make sure every bar of soap and every jar of cream is made with the same care and attention to detail that my customers have come to expect.

Looking back, those struggles have made me a stronger business owner. They’ve taught me to be patient, keep learning, and never give up on my vision. Every obstacle has been another step toward building the business I’ve always dreamed of.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Bumpandfuzzies, I specialize in creating handcrafted, all-natural skincare products made with simple, nourishing ingredients. My product line includes soaps, body creams, deodorants, salt scrubs, lip balms, and liquid soaps, all carefully made in small batches. I also create beautiful gel candles that make unique gifts.

What I’m most proud of is knowing that every product is made with care and a genuine passion for helping people take better care of their skin. I believe skincare doesn’t have to be complicated or filled with unnecessary chemicals. By using quality ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, and palm oil in my soaps, I create products that are gentle, nourishing, and designed to leave skin feeling clean, soft, and healthy.

What sets Bumpandfuzzies apart is the personal attention that goes into every product. I don’t believe in mass production or cutting corners. Every batch is handcrafted with consistency and quality in mind, and I truly care about the people who use my products. My goal is not just to sell skincare—it’s to help people feel good about what they’re putting on their skin and to provide products they can trust for themselves and their families.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are several ways to work with and support Bumpandfuzzies. Customers can shop directly through my website, www.bumpandfuzzies.com, where they’ll find my full line of handcrafted, all-natural skincare products.

I’m also excited to partner with boutiques, gift shops, CBD stores, wellness businesses, and other retailers interested in offering high-quality, handcrafted skincare products. I offer wholesale pricing and private labeling, making it easy for businesses to carry products under their own brand or feature the Bumpandfuzzies name.

One of the best ways to support my business is by sharing my products with friends and family, following me on Facebook and Instagram, leaving reviews, and recommending Bumpandfuzzies to others. As a small business, every purchase, share, and kind recommendation truly makes a difference, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who supports my journey.
