Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayanne Araujo.
Hi Dayanne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Brazil, where I followed the traditional path and got a Law degree. But deep down, I always felt like I didn’t belong in that world. I craved freedom, creativity, and connection — things I couldn’t fully find there. So I made the hardest and bravest decision of my life: I left everything behind and moved to the United States to start over.
What no one tells you is how lonely that process can be. I faced culture shock, financial struggles, and a deep emotional emptiness that led me into one of the darkest periods of my life. I felt invisible, disconnected — like I had lost myself.
But then… I found myself through music.
Artists like Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili peppers, and System of a Down gave me a voice when I couldn’t speak. Their songs held me when no one else could. And through that healing, I started creating — using fashion, photography, and storytelling as a way to process, to connect, to survive.
That’s how I started building my platform. Slowly, from a very raw and real place. My content is not just about visuals — it’s about emotion, about honesty, about turning pain into art. And I’m beyond grateful that so many people have seen themselves in what I create.
This journey hasn’t been easy — but it’s made me who I am. And I truly believe I’m just getting started.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. Being a content creator — especially in a new country — has been one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. In the beginning, I had no idea what I was doing — I just knew I needed to express something that words alone couldn’t explain.
There were moments when I felt invisible. I’ve always done everything on my own — with just a phone, a vision, and a heart full of emotion.
On top of that, I’ve always faced personal struggles. I went through depression, deep homesickness, and a constant fear of not being “enough.” But content creation became my therapy. It helped me reconnect with myself and gave me my voice back.
I didn’t start this journey with a strategy — I started with a story. And little by little, people began to see themselves in what I shared. That connection is what keeps me going to this day.
So no, the road isn’t easy. But every obstacle makes me a better creator — more honest, more intentional, and more connected to the people who follow me.
In addition to creating content—which is how you found me—I also work as a house cleaner and as the Director of Creative and Cultural Strategy for MGLA. I am also currently studying fashion, and I balance all of these activities.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a multi-passionate creative professional. I create content mainly focused on music, especially rock and metal, which has always been a huge part of my life. Through my content, I share personal stories, reflections, and visual inspiration that connect with people who love alternative culture.
In addition to content creation, I work as a house cleaner here in the U.S., and I’m also the Director of Creative and Cultural Strategy for MGLA, which allows me to use my skills in communication, branding, and visual storytelling in a professional context.
I’m currently studying fashion, which has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I’m passionate about merging music, art, and fashion in everything I do.
What I’m most proud of is the way I’ve been able to build a life and a career from scratch after moving to a different country. I’ve faced many challenges, including loneliness and starting over professionally, but I’ve stayed true to my creative vision and values.
What sets me apart is my ability to blend authenticity, nostalgia, and alternative aesthetics in a way that resonates deeply with people. I’m committed to creating content that inspires, comforts, and empowers others to embrace who they are.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe that taking risks is often necessary if you want to grow and live a life that feels meaningful. One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was leaving my home country, Brazil, where I had a degree in Law, to start over in the United States. I left behind everything familiar—my career, my language, my support network—to pursue a life that aligned more with who I am and what I love.
It was not easy at all. I faced deep loneliness and even depression during that process. But ultimately, taking that risk allowed me to discover my true passions and build a new path combining creativity, music, and personal growth.
Even though I don’t see myself as someone who takes risks lightly, I do believe in listening to your intuition and being willing to step into the unknown when something keeps calling you. Sometimes the greatest opportunities are hidden on the other side of fear.
