Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Haile.
Bethany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Bethany [Haile] – Beauty Industry Entrepreneur, Educator & Creative Professional
An entrepreneur at heart, I’ve been building and running businesses for over 25 years. My journey began in the world of performance—acting and singing sparked my passion for expression and creativity from an early age. While I once believed that would be my lifelong path, life had different plans.
As a young single mother, I faced unexpected challenges, including one of my daughters dealing with chronic health issues that required multiple surgeries. Those early years, filled with uncertainty, shaped my resilience and ignited a fierce determination to create a better future—not just for myself, but to show my daughters what’s possible when you face adversity with grit and grace.
I found my purpose behind the camera, helping others feel more confident and beautiful in their own skin. That passion led to a fulfilling career as a makeup artist and hair colorist. I went on to become the owner of Bethany’s Studio 1 in Clemson, SC, and currently, I run Bethany’s Wildflower Salon in Central, SC. I’m also proud to be a part owner of Upstate College of Cosmetology in Easley, SC, which I’ve co-owned for over ten years.
Education and mentorship are now a huge part of my mission. I believe deeply in lifting others up and sharing what I’ve learned through my experiences in the beauty and fashion industries. My background in modeling and acting has also opened doors to collaborate with clothing brands and cosmetic companies—opportunities I’m incredibly thankful for.
Everything I do is rooted in love—for my family, for this industry, and for the people whose lives I get to touch. Whether it’s through teaching, styling, or mentoring, my goal is always the same: to inspire confidence, creativity, and courage in others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
