Community Highlights: Meet Tucker DeLoach of Ranger Trash Company LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tucker DeLoach.

Hi Tucker, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello, my name is Tucker DeLoach and I started Ranger Trash in November of 2024. I was exploring opportunities for a side business when a friend of mine mentioned doing residential trash pickup. We stumbled across some free trash cans on marketplace and he thought it would be a good idea. That wasn’t quite what I was looking for at the time due to my primary job’s schedule being rather sporadic and I couldn’t commit to a set pickup schedule every week. I worked in the food and beverage industry for the last 10 years and needed something flexible. However, the idea of trash led me down a rabbit hole where I discovered junk removal services. A niche market in a vast industry where I could apply my customer service skills and desire to make an actual difference in the community. I thought to myself, what a great business model. It combines helping customers with what they need out of their way so they can enjoy their space with helping the community through donating reusable goods and recycling whenever possible. From th first job that I have done to now having served over 400 residents in my service area that has been the focal point of my business – repurpose as much as possible though donations and recycling. We have been able to keep 65% of all that we have removed out of the landfills. After about a year of doing this part time I noticed that the need for this service was ever growing and decided to expand my offer into demolition services and dumpster rentals as well for the DIY community. With the mindset of making 2026 the year that this small idea takes off, I hit the ground running in January. The goal was to serve at least 30 customers a month and we have averaged about 40 with that number growing every month. I finally decided to leave my full time position and pursue the growth of my company this April. We have big aspirations for growth and are looking forward to continue to grow the company to become a full service, multi-faceted waste management company over the next 5 years to serve every customer in our community with whatever needs they may have.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenge was just learning about an industry that I knew nothing about. Proper disposal of items at the beginning was difficult. Logistically figuring out how to recycle metal goods, paper and plastics, and where I could donate certain items and what they would and would not take was challenging. Once I was able to build systems for storage and proper disposal I was able to create an easy to use a repeatable system for whatever someone may be getting rid of.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in providing comprehensive waste management solutions for residents and businesses of the Lowcountry. If it is a service that we do not offer, we have someone who can handle it for you.

We pride purse of in being a one stop shop to get rid of whatever you need. If someone works with us and they wouldn’t be willing to sacrifice a baby kitten to continue services with us, then we have not done our job. Not literally, but metaphorically. We have a 5-star Google rating for a reason. We only offer the best to our customers and always expect to serve them in whatever way they need.

I’d want the reader to know just that. And I’d also want them to be able to find us if necessary.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I am an open book. I can’t think of much they may not know. I am very passionate about what I do and I don’t hide that. This business has been very fulfilling for me as I enjoy seeing people light up when a heavy weight has been lifted from their plate.
